Course Curriculum Overview :

Okay well i would rate 9/10 i like my curriculum We have 4 subjects anatomy, biochemistry, physiology and dadh. Anatomy physiology and biochemistry lectures held in medical college and dadh lectures held in dental college. Staff of medical college is really very very cooperative they always helps us ao much as well as dental ataff is also so nice

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Well there is no any kind of scholarships for open students but students from different casts only pays 25 or 10 % fees even girls with other than open cast have zero fees for hostels ! And we pay 1 lakh 50 thousands! So if you belong to a very normal family that you can't afford these expenses along with your books other study stuff and dentistry kits so you should choose other option.

Campus Life :

My college is too social. Balasaheb thorat is a really great human being who works for society our hospital treats more than 50 thousand patients in every month! Thats huge number right! But it's true and in zero fees also we have smbt gramin rugnalay branch in aadivasi areas where students goes to visit

Admission :

Yes i first went in yogita dental then I chose smbt dental over yogita dental beacuse of exposure of medical college and campus even we have much larger hospital than yogita dental we have cleanest mess and hostel sodexo staff really manage the things well so I cancelled my addmission from yogita dental collge of ratnagiri and came here for my dental course and my decision was really great i dont feel any regrets for choosing smbt over other dental colleges i also went in ajinkya dy dental college in lohagaon but it is wrost college i ever seen. The food of mess is limited there is security in campus hostels are the wrost ever there is comman washrooms for each floor also infrastructure is not good it is like haunted house .

Faculty :

Our faculties are best they complete syllabus in time they all are doctors like mds or mbbs some of them are gold medalist too with excellent teaching skills. I don't face any problems in my academics. They are expirienced teachers they use ppt as well as blackboards!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Dentistry has a wide scope in medical sector. In the internship period students are exposed to the real world patients which makes it possible for a good experience and to tackle future challenges. Dentistry on the other hand is quite expensive, the materials, instruments are expensive for a student who has weak financial background . Also in dentistry we have 19 subjects which have to be studied over 4 years, but 11 of them are divided in first three years and final year has 8 subjects which is difficult to get through so I would suggest to have a term wise pattern in final year exams rather than giving all 8 subjects at once. The difficulty level in exams for 1st 2nd and final year is moderately hard and 3rd year is easy

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is fairly vast. All the subjects have to be studied thoroughly and in depth. Practical work is all included which is equally important for treating patients in real world. Each exam is carried in a span of 2 months

Placement Experience:

The medical and dental institutions across the nation do not follow the practice of campus placements. After graduating with a BDS degree, one can pursue MDS, MPH, MBA or MHA. courses. The majority of graduates work under experienced practitioners to gain work experience before starting their own clinic. The same can also be done by joining corporate dental chains. Some graduates apply for jobs as tutors and Junior Residents. Graduates also opt for short courses on implants and aesthetic dentistry to gain more hands-on experience. The opportunities are immense and the path chosen depends completely on individual preferences. I personally aim to pursue MDS in Oral Surgery after graduation.

Placement Experience:

Well after 4 years of studies the college provides one year compulsory internship in the college itself. You get paid by the college for it. You would be working as an intern in the college hospital and treating patients throughout the year.
