Course Curriculum Overview :
Course is prepared from IIT and nit syllabus(80% matching). Students have to use same books which are suggesting in IIT/NIT. This syllabus is helpful to crack gate or any technical written interview or face to face interview. That's best I can say. In each semester there are 3 internal exams of each subject(36 marks 90 minutes). Avg of these internal marks are added with external exam marks plus viva marks. Students had to submit journal containing lab experiment at viva time. In Machine design subjects we have to draw some drawing sheets. Students are surrounded by exams only unfortunately. In research, very few scope is available. Industrial visits are good many. I have gone through 6-7 company visits in ahmedabad, Nadiad, Anand (power plant, refrigeration plant, steel processing small scale gidc company). But college is not providing any fund or transportation arrangement for that.
Placement Experience :
Placement cell is providing good amount of chances. Particularly in mechanical field, I got chance for relaince, Adani, KHS, GNFC, RSPL, likes 10-15. Around 40% placement in mechanical field at my time. In most of case company sent mail to placement deaprtment of college then base on company criteria students are allowed to for placement. College is famous for it/computer engineering. In that field around 90% placement is provided by college.
College Events :
Felicific, the event run for 5 days.there are so many technical competition including different fields like robo war, hydro e arm, robo race, ultimate jugadu. Also there are some musical events at night. Some fun games are also running full day. This felicific is big event for college. Around 2000+ students participating from different Gujarat region. Winning prize is around varying from 1k to 10k in different compitition.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
During my study time, fees for my degree program was 80k+ including library and others charges. Fees is feasible as compared to other colleges in Gujarat. Accepted payment mode is cheque or DD. College is providing full break up of fee in recipient. Fees including tution fee + library fee + journal charges. No admission charge is taken by company. There are 15% management seats in each engineering field
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No I have not received any scholarships or loan. College is not providing any scholarships. Gujarat government is providing some scholarship 10k because I have got good number in HSC.
Campus Life :
Campus Life is good. Cateen food and infrastructure is bed. Game zone have only one old shade with 2 tabble tennis only. So very less enjoyment I can say. Number of lectures and exams were too much. 3 internal exams per semester. Professor are providing Xerox study material. So Students are more depending on Xerox each time compare to original books. Students had less time to do extraordinary work. Gender ratio is around 70:30. There is no student parties. Mechanical workshop is fullfilled with different type of lathe, VMC,drill, welding, automobile parts working models. This workshop facility is too good compare to most of colleges in Gujarat. One hydraulic and pneumatic lab developed by Bosch rexroth company. Most of students are basically from Gujarat region (90% approx). Students have to spend 4 lakhs for 4 year B.Tech engineering program. Bus transportation is also available from ahmedabad and Baroda. This bus cost around 15000/semester.
Hostel Facilities :
No, but college have good hostel facility as I heard from my friends. Ddu hostel is taking 60k+ for 6 months including morning snakes, lunch dinner. Some private hostel is also near by to colleges. Food options are good enough available near to College.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors are too helpful while placement time. They helped me and guidance for cat and interview preparation. After college 2-3 seniors are sharing vacancy in their company.
Admission :
The institute is famous for study method, exams, professor and placement. I opted admission by ACPC merrit list. I had 4 options. My merit number was 425. I filled 4-5 colleges in list L.D, V.G.E.C, B.V.M, Changa, DDU. At that time mechanical engineering was in high demand.
Faculty :
There are 5-6 lectures(1hr) and lab (2 hr) in day. Whole batch is divided into group of 20 students for lab. Timing is 8:30 to 5:30 max including lunch and other free time slot. Professor are good. In our mechanical department there 10 senior faculties having 10-25 year teaching experience with IIT/NIT degree (3 with PhD)(average age may be 45 years). And there are 15-16 junior faculties having 4-5 year teaching experience ( average age may be 32 years). In thermal, Mechanical Design, Vibration, Production departments. college have expert professor with excellent lab infrastructure. But lack of experts for automobile subjects.
