Remarks :
See there so many students residing inside the campus so its a bit chaotic specially when you go to the central office and cyber library i often didn't get seats in the cyber library as there are 350 computers on mearly 10000 students so yeah that place is hectic for sure other wise campus is very very peaceful excluding to roads leading to the main gate of lanka.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Courses are well designed and facilities like library and labs are well equipped.Exam are held on time semester system is there also there are mid term exams which are held on 6 months and 3 months respectively.For research the environment is good as you know via the nirf rankings BHU is the 3rd ranked university in India there are lots of researchers already doing research in almost every field you can think of they even get the stipend if qualified NET or CISR exams.See students take admissions throughout the country making the university very diverse after the course is over you will definitely feel that you have learned a lot in whichever the field you choose prior to the admission.After that there is placement cell which takes care of you placement providing you every opportunity to get a better job
Placement Experience :
For placements info you can google the placement cell of Bhu.You can get internship either by your personal reach or by the university guidelines based on your willingness it generally held in the last semester of the course i haven't availed any. For courses like statistics they give you the project work in the last semester and based on your performance they give you the credit equivalent to marks as of the subject.Courses such as BA LLB,LLB the students get the chance to work for the legal aid service provided for the citizens by the BHU for free this helps the students getting the experience and applications of the law they learned in their course.Otherwise they can get paid working under the advocate of courts but for that you have to improve your personal contacts. For course like MBBS students generally work for the hospital which is inside the campus of the BHU and get the real experience of treating a patient as a part of their internship.There are many more internship opportunities based on the course you get in.
College Events :
Spandan-An annual function Held by the faculty of arts guests like abhishek bacchan anil kapoor come and meet the students in this fest you can see live drama,cultural dance,standup comedy,singers. Kashiyatra-An annual function held by the IIT BHU this fest comprises of party nights where Bollywood singers come and lightens the night with their sizzling performance There are many more annual function where students take part and nurture their talents in different fields.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee details are available on the website bhuac.in.I find fees are quite cheap as it is heavily subsidised by the central gov which is aimed to provide quality education to every sections of the society. You can pay the fees through cash payments or via debit card by visiting the central office inside the campus. After the payment they give you long receipt enlisting each calculation of your penny. There is a fee relaxation policy too for economically backward and scheduled cast tribes student to avail that you have to apply for the fee relaxation
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I had once applied for pre matric scholarship but it was funded by my state gov which covers the tuition fee and the hostel fee but as i did not got the hostel and they do not give expenses of the private hostels i only got the tution fee back will was around 3500.Other than that university runs a programme called Earn while learn where they give chance to the economically weaker student to get paid working for the university and learning simultaneously.
Campus Life :
Talking about the gender ratio university is homogeneous except for some courses like engineering,medical and bilogical science where you will find more boys and girls respectively.Students come from throughout the country from every society this makes the university quite diverse. In BHU you can study any subject inside one big campus every subject from fine arts to ayurveda for mba to engineering this makes the place so special once you get the admission you get to see the fusion between an engineer and a shastri which I bet you can't find anywhere else. You will see students going in the kashi vishwanath temple and having the time of their lives.You will see a big row of students in front of the xerox centres. There are lots of annual functions which I have mentioned earlier where students take part and nurture their talents, Labs are well equipped there is always an assistant to help you out, there is a gym an amphitheatre, places for lawn tennis, basket ball, squash, football field, hockey field, running track, indoor badminton court, table tennis. Overall you will get all the facilities that you can think of so that you can't make excuses that you didn't study because of this reason or so.
Hostel Facilities :
I did not got the hostel as I stood low in the hostel merit list but I have visited the hostel there is proper cleanliness and mess is inside every Hostel.Meals are served twice a day and closed on Sunday mornings mess is autonomous so they take advanced payment of every semester.The seats are less in the hostels compare to the intake capacity of the course in specially in BA programme otherwise hostels seats are enough for other courses.In case you didn't get the hostel you have to live outside the campus taking PG's of private hostels in the city which will cost you around 7000Rs per month excluding the personal expense you will probably find PG's in the areas like Lanka,Durga Kund,Karaundhi but if compare PG's or private hostels you will always find university hostels are far better.In private Hostel you can opt to be single or Can share with one or two more peoples, in university hostels you have to share a room with one more mate unless you are a researcher who gets one room per person.I have told you about the mess charges,room charges are so less that you will not believe like 10rs for fan 10 rs bed and overall around 300 rs per semester if i remember clearly.
Alumni/Alumna :
We have had some great alumins which are current world leaders to the hounrable judges they come during the alumni meets they interact with the students as well. Seniors are quite helpful they provide assistance to the juniors provide them notes and share bonds with them except for few.
Admission :
To get the admission in the prestigious banaras hindu University you have give an entrance called UET for various courses of graduation PET for various courses of post graduation and RET for researchers the entrance usually held in the month of May you can apply only through online mode by visiting the website bhuonline.in
Faculty :
Faculty comprises of professors assistant professors and research scholars who are keen to share the knowledge they have in the subject.Classes runs daily excluding sundays number of lecture per semester is around 60-80 per subject.Professors are generally bilingual and they speak English and Hindi but mostly English during the lecture as they come to take the class they clearly state that which topic they gonna cover today from basics to the advanced level and based on the course you took they will the application of they taught. For courses like engineering, applied maths, Mba,medical they provide lab assistance to teach about the applicability of the theories you are taught during the lecture.
