Remarks :

University is not upto our level of expectations in terms of academics and infrastructural facilities. But the campus life and friends is truly a good experience

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is a bit rigorous. Assessment is done on the basis of two mid semester exams, one end semester exam and internal assessment. Internal assessment include surprise tests, assignments and term papers. The end semester exam is conducted in online mode consisting of 50 MCQs to be attended in 1 hour. The course is rigorous during the starting of the semester. Course curriculum is designed in accordance with UGC-NET exam. Even though some papers are not much relevant, the course curriculum is good. I cannot say the course curriculum is much research driven.

Placement Experience :

Interms of placement and intership, the college does not provide much. Nothing much is taken in this behalf.

College Events :

There are no such events hosted, except 1 week foundation week celebrations in the month of February. Other than this, no other events are hosted. Some national seminars are hosted by different departments. University dies not provide much support to such events.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is feasible. The accepted mode of payment is online. It costs around 13,500 per semester including hostel fees. There are no additional charges to be paid except this semester fee. Mess charges are separate and is about 2,500 per month.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No scholarship was availed by me. But some other studey received scholarships that were given by different state and central government.

Campus Life :

Campus life is very joyful as most of the students are hostelers. Roaming inside the campus is fun. Hostel life is also fun as we don't have much restrictions. The campus has more males than females. Campus has facilities for different sports events and people usually spend their evenings in some sports. The campus truly represents the diversity of India with students from every state.

Hostel Facilities :

I have opted for hostel. About 98% of the students are hostelers, as the university is more of a residential campus. Most of the students comes from different states. Hostel fee is about 8500 per semester. If opting PGs it cost around 1,500 per month.

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors are really helpful especially with admissions and all those things. Other than seniors inside the campus, there is no interaction with alumni network.

Admission :

I was always fascinated by the subject Economics and hence decided to opt this subject in my higher education. After completing my graduation in Economics, I wanted to pursue masters in the same subject. I appeared for an entrance exam conducted in all India level named CUCET in April 2018. After the results was announced, I applied to Central University of Punjab with my CUCET score and was called for admission.

Faculty :

The faculties are mostly 35+, all of them are well experienced and has good research experiences. Most of them has numerous publications in their name. Core courses has 4 lectures per week and they are handled by faculties themselves. My department has 5 faculties, consisting of professor, associate professor and assistant professors.

I plan to do M.Phil as I wish to become a Clinical Psychologist with a proper RCI license. In an MPhil students work in hospitals as residents. However, I'm also preparing for UGC-NET to keep my options open.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose a master's in English because I love to study literature. And this college has great faculty and many competent students with me. All the teachers our highly educated and use excellent methods of teaching. After 3 months from the start of the semester, we had our MST and after another 3 months, we have our final semester exams. By studying regularly we can easily pass all our exams
