Great infrastructure but lack of management

Remarks :

Like the title of the review, all I would say if they work on the management sectors and especially on the exam department, it would become a much better college

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was excellent and relevant to the IT world. It covered all the essential areas. The Exam Structure is a big loophole in this college as the results always gets delayed and the marking system were also not good. The teachers who checks the exam papers doesn't pay attention to the facts mentioned in the answer rather they would focus on the length of it. If there's a mistake in someone's results then he/she has to suffer a lot and have to wander into the offices for quite a long time. The whole exam department is not managed well thus it lacks the efficiency which is required.

Placement Experience :

No major company comes to our college for selecting BCA students, and the college doesn't provide any structure or information so that we can apply for internships. We have to do this by ourselves and college would just provide it's agreement. The placement opportunities are very less and most of them are local startups in which nobody would be interested.

College Events :

There are lots of events organised like Technica, Prakrida, Jhalak, Annual Sports Fest. These events are solely managed by students and college doesn't provide much funds for those. The events are quite good but they can be better if funds were more.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It is quite expensive compared to any other colleges. Every year they would increase the fees for the next batch and there is no scholarships for any students so poor students can't dream of getting admission there. They have to belong to a good and capable family.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I haven't applied for any such thing and neither the college provided any such opportunities. They had a fixed fee structure.

Campus Life :

The campus life was very pleasant and exciting. The gender ratio was also very balanced in the students as well as in faculty. There were not many extracurricular activities. All such activities would be done during the college fests only. The college was strict against any bullying or ragging.

Hostel Facilities :

No, I haven't opted for hostel. The rooms and facilities were good there and the food was also well made. But the hostels were initially limited for the b.tech students only. But next year they allowed hostel facilities for other courses students too. There is no facility of PG in case hostel room is not available.

Alumni/Alumna :

There was no contact with the alumni and senior students. We were not allowed to interact much with them as college feared it might lead to ragging.

Admission :

I got admission in this college via spot admission and there I was selected on the basis of my 12th final marks. After all the paperwork I submitted the fees and successfully completed my admission process. I opted this college as it is very famous and reputed. I chose BCA because in school I was good in coding.

Faculty :

Apart from few faculty, I can say that remaining are just normal. They only know the basic knowledge which is mentioned in the books. They would teach us the notes from Google or Wikipedia and would just give us the notes and would tell to memorize it. They never empathize on the need to learn something new or out of syllabus. They never motivate to do research.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I wanted to learn Computers and their related system so I chose BCA. There are a total of 100 students in class and for them, there are 6 to 8 faculties. faculty: student is 8:100. All the faculties are Master's degree qualified. The teaching methods of those faculties are average. BCA is a 3-year program with a total of 6 semesters but the college used to complete the program in almost 3.5 years. Examinations are conducted after completing each semester. Examinations are pretty difficult.
