Remarks :
The college is really good for the price and matches the target group of students quite well, it is not overly pretentious nor does it try to be over ambitious
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is relevant to some extent and has good practical and application based concepts. The course I had opted for is btech mechanical which is a rather vast subject in itself. Full attention to detail has been paid to the course construction, since it felt very fluent and uniform while learning them according to their prescribed order.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities in general are quite good, with an average salary of 6 lakhs per annum. But for mechanical or other core branches placement opportunities are quite scarce. Nevertheless, good campus recruitment training is given to all students in order to improve their chances of getting placed in a good company
College Events :
Many technical events have been conducted in the past few years but the only event that presents itself with a plethora of fun activities and technical events is 'pramana' which takes place in the university once a year. The event consists of various cultural programmes, exhibitions for technology, automobiles, medical field progressions etc
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee is a little on the expensive side but is well worth it because the university is providing a lot of facilities for that price. The fee is only for tuition, books can be bought separately or borrowed from the vast and fully equipped library. The fee can be waived if you have government based or entrance test based scholarships. The jee mains and keep advanced rank achieved by the student can also be used to avail extra scholarship.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarships are given to those students who have scored over 35% in their entrance test. The parents annual salary should be 2 lakhs or less to avail the same. The aforementioned scholarship ranges from 20 percent off to completely sanctioned 100%.
Campus Life :
Being an engineering college the sex ratio is quite high with 5 males per female. The labs are well equipped but do require maintaining which the university often skimps on unless constantly reminded. Easy to fraternize with students and the college is co-ed. A lot of debate competitions and muns take place throughout the year.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes I have opted for the hostel since it's far more convenient. The rooms are sub par, the WiFi is very good but certain sites are blocked and WhatsApp doesn't work on the WiFi. The bathrooms are shared an not attached to the room. 4 students share a room and the room in not air conditioned, although there is an air conditioned block in the works. Food is good but gets repetitive and non veg is also available on Wednesdays and sundays
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors students are a total delight to talk to, as is the alumni. They provide useful guidance and try to help us when we have ideas.
Admission :
No extra coursework required. I had just revised the 12th grade syllabus. Studying ncert textbooks might help, also there should be enough time given to mathematics and sciences since they cover majority of the paper. The exam has an online mode, which I had opted for and was pretty hassle free and convenient. The paper pattern consisted of an equal weightage for math and science, a little bit of mental abitility testing and English. It is not mandatory to pass the exam to get an admission but it does help for availing scholarship
Faculty :
Very proficient, extremely helpful. The faculty is well equipped with digital and other means of teaching facilities, hence it is much easier for me as a student to understand and learn the concepts more clearly. They also encourage projects or other activity based learning to improve the subject and often make it more interesting
