Remarks :
At first, when I joined I have decided to give a second chance in JEE main. But seriously speaking after my 1st semester I was regretting that I have to live in this college only for 4years. I love my Vssut
Course Curriculum Overview :
Each branch has its own way of study and research. Here students are their own teacher means students have so interest that they do reasearch of their own and when there is any problem they consult their respective profeesors. Labs are very frequent but that doesn't make us tired. After completing college hrs students directly go to their respective clubs for their research work. We have midesm exam of 20 marks and endsem exam of 70 marks and 10 marks are given by teacher to each individual based on their performance and attendance
Placement Experience :
Truly speaking placement and job opportunities in vssut is not good as other Nits and IITs. Our college provides internships. Not big companies come to vssut but a lot of students get job from off-campus as far as my knowledge goes.
College Events :
The most famous celebration in our college is DHISHA. Most of the festivals are celebrated in this college, it shows that it is a secular college. Every celebration such as onam, diwali, christmas, janmashtami and etc. are celebrated with great enthusiasm
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Feasible. Each semester's fee is 50000 which attracts a lot of students to join our college. Truly speaking no other college is having such fewer semester fees. Students from poor background also take loans for their studies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Students having a financial problem or coming from a poor family are given study loans and scholarship. Also, there is a particular scholarship given to students based on their jee rank and financial condition. The scholarship is based on CGPA
Campus Life :
Boys are more as compared to girls but in general there is a proper balance ratio of boys and girls. There are lot of clubs opened by students only which give us a better outer look of the world. Workshop are like frequent in this college. There is no racism in the college regarding any diversity.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel of my college are like my second home. It's the infrastructure is the best. Each room accommodates a total of 4students. Each room has 2fans 2tables and 2chairs. The room are perfect for the living of 4students. The sanitation condition is also very good.
Alumni/Alumna :
Vssut has a very active alumni network. Pass out seniors help their juniors not only giving ideas but also by providing their full support in any project. Seniors also help their juniors regarding studies and placements about companies.
Admission :
I got admitted to Vssut on the basis of JEE main rank. The admission process is very simple that if you are choosing a particular branch then according to your rank you may get or may not. It's the oldest college of Odisha and has got lot of experienced teachers which not only make us learn the subject but also love it and read it heartly. So this made me join my Vssut.
Faculty :
As it's the oldest college of Odisha it has a lot of experienced teachers who are like a blessing to the students in our college. Also faculty members help students in their club works and always give solutions to the problems brought by the students
