Disha Sethi's Review On London School Of Trends - [LST], New Delhi

DS
4.8 /5

Remarks :

London school of Trends is one of the best design institutes in the country. Our college has international ties with big brands like Elle, Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, Cosmopolitan and many other brands. We get good company exposure and the teaching is excellent.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Fashion Designing includes a course curriculum that teaches young designers working with photographers, hair and make-up artists and models. The curriculum teaches the students the working of the fashion industry.

Placement Experience :

Our college has one of the best Fashion Designing department in the country. It has a great network with national and international brands like Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, BBC London, Cosmopolitan and Elle.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees for the three year course is 6,37,000 rupees. It is not really feasible but considering the level of exposure and the high standards of the college it is worth the price since our college has associations with top international brands.

Campus Life :

We have many events and festivals that take place in our college. We have our own fashion shows, industry visits, model styling and many other generic events in our college. We also have good sports in our college.

Admission :

Our college follows a direct application process. After submitting the application form and my portfolio, I was shortlisted and called for a personal interview. After clearing the interview I was granted admission.

Faculty :

Our college has excellent faculty who are very experienced in their field and also extremely qualified. They help us with our projects and provide an interactive teaching experience that helps us understand better.

Placement Experience:

The placements are great. The department responsible for placements is OCS and they are the best at their job they find top class recruiters and that too from big companies in your field. They also teach you how to prepare for them from the first year itself.

Placement Experience:

As I know, in the third year, they will offer you an intership for 1-3 months and at the end of your course, they will provide you a job under well-known companies. My plans after completing my course i will like to work for 1-2 years under the company which will be provided by the college, after getting some experience i will start my own business.

Admission:

The admission was through an entrance test conducted by the college itself. However, the college also takes in students through their NIFT scores.

There are both positive and negative points. College is really very good if you're looking for career in Fashion industry then NIFT is best college under Ministry of Textiles. Negative point is only fees in my view.

Pearl conducts its personal entrance exam and a interview trough which I went. The marks were not revealed, I just got a mail which congratulated me and welcomed me to the course.

Placement Experience:

Pearl excels in placing their students. The previous year percentage of placement of the luxury batch was 99% in all the leading luxury and fashion brands in India like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Versace, Armani, Cartier, Sabyasachi and many more. The students are personally asked for their preference of the industry in which they want to work, be it the fashion industry, the food or beverage industry or the luxury service industry.
