Remarks :
Till date, there hasn't been any negative side in this university. The university tries to cater to all the needs of the students and are working hard to fulfill its goal. With an appropriate fee structure, the university is imparting great knowledge through his faculty team.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In today's world, learning computer is very important. Course duration is for four years and it focuses on the aspects of electrical engineering and computer science which develops an understanding of computer software as well as hardware.
Placement Experience :
At present, the placement cell isn't in good position as most of the departments are new. However, the students of the old departments are provided internships with various range of stipends. Attendance and good grades are compulsory and important.
College Events :
Tech fests, Fresher's day, farewell day is celebrated. Along with these, there are various functions held related to dance, music, art and seminars, workshops related to education takes place. Everyone in the university is encouraged to take up and the university ensures full participation of all its students.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is more or less expensive. The fees for the first year is Rs.39,150/-. The fees for the second,third and fourth year is Rs.32,400/- . All total, the fee structure is amounting to Rs.1,36,350/-. Engineering has always been an expensive course, to be honest. So this structure is acceptable.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarships which are available for the MZU students are : Rajiv Gandhi national fellowship for SC/ST candidates only, UGC-NET/JRF, CSIR, Inspire, Meritorious for science students, Maulana Azad National fellowship for minority students, MZU-UGC fellowship for Non-NET Ph.D. students and MZU-UGC fellowship for Non-NET M.Phil. students.
Campus Life :
Religious tolerance is highly maintained in this university. All are treated with respect and dignity. Ragging is prohibited. A workshop has been set up as a common facility at the school level. Indoor and outdoor games are played and facilities as such are available. Laboratories are present for research purposes which are very well equipped.
Hostel Facilities :
The charge for both boys and girls hostels is Rs.29,670/- per year. It includes the providing of good food, clean water for drinking, internet facility, electricity, security and keeps the hostel boys and girls under check and certain restrictions or to be precised, boundaries.
Alumni/Alumna :
I guess it's is very important that seniors in every university cooperate with their juniors. So does the seniors in this university. Certain specified criteria needs to be fulfilled to get the membership of the alumni. And it has been a wonderful experience with the seniors.
Admission :
Those candidates who wants to take admission to B.Tech in MZU, must have passed 10+2 level examination with minimum 50% marks in PCM. And for admission to B.Tech and B.Tech (Lateral Entry), candidates are required to appear in Mizoram University Engineering Entrance Examination (MZUEEE).
Faculty :
Faculty members comprises of all the designated teachers and professors who have been in this profession for the past 9 to 10 years and are in love with their work. This love towards teaching is shown through their continuous patience in dealing with students and their everyday problems.
