Remarks

It has both good and bad remarks. The college is really good when it comes to placements, extracurricular activities held in college. However, the college will have to improve itself when it comes to the declaration of results, coordination among the faculties of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The examinations are conducted are on time however the declaration of the result for M. Tech takes a lot of time. Students are expected to wait for a minimum of 3 months for results to be declared. Also, the makeup exams are not given in time. Engineering student's results are declared on time.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements for engineering are good. Companies like Rakuten, dell, adobe, hp, Volvo, national instruments, sap labs visit the college every year.

College Events

5

There are different events organized by students like technical seminars, IEEE expo, technical and cultural fests. The overall experience with college events is really good. Also, events like hackathons are organized in the college. Students more than lecturers encourage for all these activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is really very affordable for students. I paid all together 44810 as fees and another 4000 for a year as exam fees but I get around 48k back as scholarshiP. Also, the alumni association of UVCE encourage Student by giving scholarship for meritorious students every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The OBC students can avail scholarship called epass which will give around 48k for every student. Also, to encourage girl child education for PG education the central government of India is giving a scholarship called pg Indira Gandhi single girl child scholarship. The scholarship availed is 36200 rs every year.

Campus Life

4

The campus education life is really good. Since students are not much dependent on lecturers they are able to explore more knowledge in both academic and non-academic studies. There is no gender inequality. Also, though the infrastructure before was not good the college is building a very good infrastructure with the help of both governments of India and Karnataka. There is a lot of encouragement financially through alumni of UVCE.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni are really very helpful. They have donated about 12 high-end computers and also given around 2 crores for the development of college infrastructure.

Admission

I got a seat at UVCE for my M. Tech studies in the year 2018 and currently studying here. I am doing studies in Electrical engineering (control & instrumentation). Studies here are good with respect to teaching and placements. Placements for engineering are really good while a bit difficult for electrical engineering.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculties available have completed their Ph. D and a few yet to complete. There are many open sources available. But, approaching the lecturers for any doubts is difficult As they are not approachable. Students have to do self-study and prepare their own notes.

The courses they offer are not so relative to our stream. We also had questioned this to higher authorities. But they just say that the syllabus is fixed and they cant help . And if we need to pass we have to study those subjects.

Campus placement conditions have improved in IISc after the inception of campus placement cell. Average package is around I would say 25 lpa. Since most of the students go for higher studies from IISc hence, you will see the placement percentage to be low. Personality I am also going for higher studies.
