Remarks :

A good place to have MBA/HM. Faculty is friendly and students are at top position in many givernment and non government agencies.

Entrance Preview :

MAT. 80 percent . After MAT, We had to participate in group discussion and personal interview. Around 300 student participated for 60 seats.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculam was Excellent. First three semesters covered, marketing managemnet, industrial law, organizational behaviour, personnel management, research methodology, production management and statustical analysis. Last semester was dedicated to personality development.

Internships Opportunities :

I did my internship with PEPSICO. It was a good experience working at bottling plant at Jamshedpur. College supported through different leeters and comnunication. College did not give any stipend but we received arount 8 k per 30 days from PEPSI.

Placement Experience :

In 1999, it waz emerging as a good college with many placement companies. In our batch we had, CIPLA, ITC, PEPSI and many more. Most of my friends were placed. Some got good job by their kwn effort.

College Events :

One of the Programs I remember is the discussion with the finance minister Mr. Yashwant Sinha. We discussed financial issues, economy etc. College was also very active on freshers party, end of session functions, fashion shows etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

In 1997 - 1999, it was around 50 thousand for 4 semesters. It was quite feasible in comparision to many more colleges. There was facility to deposite fees in many installments.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

College offers scholarship for certain number of students which was based on MAT score plus group discussion score plus personal interview score. I am not sure about bank loans. Need to be explored.

Campus Life :

College is having Excellent infrastrycture. Huge building, big open space and greenry. One of the best computer lab in the city. We had one computer per head in 1999. Resourceful lubrary with many books and with wonderful collection.

Hostel Facilities :

College had no hostel facility at that time, but they had some arrangements with local land lords fpr rooms for boys and girls. I did not take that facility so no much to share.

Alumni/Alumna :

Network yet to be strengthen. People are connected through facebook and other social media. There is a IISM group of student on facebook. They are planning to have a meet in coming years.

Exam Structure :

College followed l AICTE norms for all the eams. Exams day were very cool as we had to attend at least 75 percent of the classes. Monitoring was quite strict but the ebvironment was very fruendly fir students.

Faculty :

Excellent. Most of the faculty members were experienced in their subjects. A giid combination of young and experienced acamedicians. Some guest faculties were contracted by college who were facilitators in different good management colleges.

100% placement assistance is provided to the students and after in the term of placement of the students university is too good at it. And they focus each and every students for the placement drive and after all it's totally depends upon the student whether they want to opt in for the placement drive or they want to opt out for the placement drive due to higher studies and starting or managing their own business.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good considering the fees which is charged by XISS. The overall ROI is great and most of the big MNCs and organisations come for the college placements. It completely depends on the individual how he/she cracks the interview. College gives everyone the opportunity to sit for the placement process

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester students get eligible for placements. I guess around more than 50+ companies visit the campus. The highest package is always around 20+ lakhs and on average you can consider 12 lakhs while the lowest is 8 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed can be said around 95%. My plan is to get a good corporate job and work there as such no fancy plans.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The HR course was quite comprehensive. Lots of subjects were dedicated to different functionalities of HR. Lots of focus on Law, and employee benefits, worker rights and employer responsibility. The course boasts of some of the stalwarts of the industry teaching different courses such as the Professor who teaches compensation is responsible for designing the compensation structure over at HUL. It's very comprehensive, and periodically reviewed to remain relevant to the changing times

Course Curriculum Overview:

My Fate, I just slipped in the name of the college, 'social service'. Never do that mistake. That too if u r experienced, Please do not even see the college website. I chose rural management, funny. 75 students in a class. 6-7 faculty in the department. Half of the faculty doesn't speak proper English. There is a lady called Aditi who is placement coordinator. She cannot speak a word in English. She is the placement coordinator.... just imagine situation of the placement. In the second year of the college, from each department, a placement representative will be selected through election. All the PRs should work under her. That's the horrible part. She is a coordinator but acts like a gangster. U cannot call her with name. In 2020, that too a professional course, u cannot call anybody with name. Same old slave mentality. U should call by mam and sir. She ruined my entire second year because I was a non hindi speaking student. Teaching faculties are well qualified but 1940-50 methodologies

IMS is located in the heart of Capital of Jharkhand Ranchi surrounded by Parks and greenery. College is good. I can give 8 out of 10. It's not like IIMs or other prestigious colleges but it is nice college to explore your inner talent.
