Xiss my POV

Dislikes

  • Course curriculum can be made more pratical as it is quite theoretical in nature
  • Pratical exposure can be improved like more guest lectures and seminars

Course Curriculum Overview :

We all know HR is in huge demand nowadays. The course is quite relevant with the practical exposure which you need to gain for getting industry ready. Areas of improvement are that we can have a big campus but again that may lead to a rise in total fees which may impact ROI. The timings of exams are quite scheduled and the difficulty level you can say it is moderate.

Placement Experience :

After 4th semester students get eligible for placements. I guess around more than 50+ companies visit the campus. The highest package is always around 20+ lakhs and on average you can consider 12 lakhs while the lowest is 8 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed can be said around 95%. My plan is to get a good corporate job and work there as such no fancy plans.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution fees in my time were 10 lakhs which included two industrial and one rural trip. As par fees are concerned it is quite less than other B.schools. Scholarships are there for rank holders, and students belonging to the Sc/ St community. Campus employment is restricted as far as I know.

Campus Life :

For the fest, we only have panache in this thing you will feel like you are not at par with other B-School as we dont have such a big campus to organize such big fests. The library is there but never visited it. It has all the books and journals you will need to sail through your MBA. For sports, we have a basketball court. For social groups we have Rotaract.

Admission :

Eligibility: Graduation with more than 60%. Entrance exam: CAT/ XAT and CMAT scores are considered The reservation I guess it is 50%. The application form you will get in the official site. Areas of improvement: Results can be declared faster as many people leave this opportunity because of the delay in the announcement of results.

Faculty :

Faculty to student ratio can be around 1:10 as I can't figure out what certain number you are looking for. Faculties are all Phd holders and their approach towards teaching is quite practical and good. You are allowed to interact with professors whenever you want.

Interview Experience :

The topics are usually current affairs for GD if you are good with it you will go through it nicely like a piece of hot knife goes through butter. The process is simple entrance marks, cutoff, gd then interview just like other bschools.

Placement Experience:

100% placement assistance is provided to the students and after in the term of placement of the students university is too good at it. And they focus each and every students for the placement drive and after all it's totally depends upon the student whether they want to opt in for the placement drive or they want to opt out for the placement drive due to higher studies and starting or managing their own business.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good considering the fees which is charged by XISS. The overall ROI is great and most of the big MNCs and organisations come for the college placements. It completely depends on the individual how he/she cracks the interview. College gives everyone the opportunity to sit for the placement process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The HR course was quite comprehensive. Lots of subjects were dedicated to different functionalities of HR. Lots of focus on Law, and employee benefits, worker rights and employer responsibility. The course boasts of some of the stalwarts of the industry teaching different courses such as the Professor who teaches compensation is responsible for designing the compensation structure over at HUL. It's very comprehensive, and periodically reviewed to remain relevant to the changing times

Course Curriculum Overview:

My Fate, I just slipped in the name of the college, 'social service'. Never do that mistake. That too if u r experienced, Please do not even see the college website. I chose rural management, funny. 75 students in a class. 6-7 faculty in the department. Half of the faculty doesn't speak proper English. There is a lady called Aditi who is placement coordinator. She cannot speak a word in English. She is the placement coordinator.... just imagine situation of the placement. In the second year of the college, from each department, a placement representative will be selected through election. All the PRs should work under her. That's the horrible part. She is a coordinator but acts like a gangster. U cannot call her with name. In 2020, that too a professional course, u cannot call anybody with name. Same old slave mentality. U should call by mam and sir. She ruined my entire second year because I was a non hindi speaking student. Teaching faculties are well qualified but 1940-50 methodologies

Remarks:

IMS is located in the heart of Capital of Jharkhand Ranchi surrounded by Parks and greenery. College is good. I can give 8 out of 10. It's not like IIMs or other prestigious colleges but it is nice college to explore your inner talent.

The college shortlist students on the basis of minimum cut off to clear the entrances test like CAT, MAT and XAT. After being shortlisted you'll be informed about your next round of your shortlisted for GD/PI sessions. After this you'll be admitted to the college's MBA courses.
