IIT (BHU) Google Review

Remarks :

Our infrastructure is not good as other IITs but we have greenery on our campus, Such a huge campus in which trees everywhere gives a good feeling every morning. The campus is open for all, which is good and bad also.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is best, it has been keep in mind that the student get enough knowledge in each year so he can apply for internships in every summer. Exam Structure is best, in a semester there is only two examination, mid set which consist of 30% marks and End-sems which consist of 60% marks and 10% is for class Assignments and tutorials and class attendance.

Placement Experience :

Placements and Job Opportunties are very Good, our college have a streak that the lowest package taken by a student is 6lpa, and in most colleges like IIT B, IIT K, IIT D it goes 3-4lpa. also we stand at second position in placements after IIT Bombay.

College Events :

we have 4 annual college festivals, Spardha- Sports, FMC Weekend- Film and Media, Kashiyatra- Cultural, Technex - Techno Management. with around 2000+ participants in Each event and around 60, 000 Footfall during the fest. Fest are big and stars like Guru Randhawa, KK, Salim Sulaiman, Ritviz, Divine, Shirley Setia, Zakhir Khan, Nishant Suri, Akash etc, have come to perform in the fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is based on the IIT Fee Schedule, 1, 16, 000 as academic fee for one semester and 12, 000 for the mess per semester, the fee also depends upon the category and economically weaker section students. SC, ST, Economic weeker section student has to pay 6, 000 + 12, 000 for food and OBC has to pay 37, 000 + 12, 000.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

KAF81, which is running by the alumni of 1981 batch, they give the scholarship for around 30 students on basis of their family income and their performance in the exams. there are around 12-13 such scholarships running in the campus.

Campus Life :

we IIT(BHU) have the maximum numbers of clubs than any IIT so the extracurricular activities are best one can experience. for sport we have gymkhana in which there is each and every sport and beign a part of BHU, there are many sports festival in our campus in which we participate and practice with them.

Hostel Facilities :

The rent for the hostel is included in the academic fee. Hostel are quite good and room are comfortable for 2 people. Hostel has TV in the common room, have huge lawn in between and badminton court and TT Table in Common room.

Alumni/Alumna :

Our Alumni network is very strong as our college is 100 year old. and they are very helpful. In the institute an Alumni Visiting faculty Program is running in which reputed alumni come to college on alternative Saturday and Sunday and teach courses like economics and finance, media and environment. Our seniors are very helpful, we also have a Technical family system in which a particular roll number is a tech family in itself. 4th year called as great grand Techdad, 3rd - grand Techdad, 2nd year - Techdad, 1st year - tech son.

Admission :

First I gave JEE Mains examination and scored a 7289 rank so I was applicable for JEE Advance examination, after scoring 5229 Rank in JEE Advance I was applicable for Josaa Counselling. I did Josaa counselling and get IIT(BHU) Chemical in first round and I locked it because at this rank IIT(BHU) Chemical was only best option that I can have

Faculty :

the faculty of college is highly talented they all are from reputed colleges, they are master in their fields and almost have 10-12 research paper patents. Professors are very helpful, if you didn't understand any topic you can always contact him in his cabin after the class and they will not scold you for whatever you asked. they are very friendly.

The placement is very good in my college. From the 7th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Mahindra etc do visit my college. The highest package is 16 lacs per annum and the average package is 4 lacs per annum. 95 % of students of the batch get placement every year.
