Remarks :

Bit Mesra is a good college to start your life of being far from home in all the way teachers seniors friends and good enviroment. The only prob is with the accomodation and food we get.which is not at all good and there is no replacemnt of that.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course is good and mostly portion is same as btech just salary is a bit low than cs but as its bit the pakage for cs is too high. So for imsc around 10 lakhs anually is not a bad deal.and the institute also focus on this course as it is of 5 years and students have more knowledge.

Placement Experience :

Yes, this course provides placement too and our placement is with it and cs branch of engineering. We get a bit less opportunity but average pakage is about 8 lakhs after we complete imsc and not only on it sector we have options for teaching section too.

College Events :

There are almost 3-4 events every month celebrated in bit Mesra but the main events are pantheon, vazra and bitotsav which is one of the best cultural college event of india which is celebrated every year in month of feb.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees structure is a bit expensive realating the course about 2 lakhs anually for imsc degree which disappoints students a bit and hostel fees and mess fees is also hiked acording to the living standards.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholorships are only given to the poor people on the basis of their marks and family income.no other scholorships are offered. If the student is poor and his annual family income is less then 3 lakhs then only scholorship is provided.

Campus Life :

There is varaity of extracurricular activities in bit. Around 22 clubs with differnent fields like coding sports and all that. The college have great concern about sports and have gym and all the equipments of all game and huge ground.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, junior senior intetaction is very good and helpful providing students a healthy relationship between them and no ragging is taken. Seniors try there best to help juniors and different clubs also help students to enhance skills.

Admission :

Basically this course is compareable to cs or it stream in btech and it is vary rare course which very few college have and placements are also there and this course is much better than many colleges cs or it. As the name is BIT and it itself a brand.

Faculty :

Proffesors are good and mostly all are well educated. Some prob is there woth assistemt profs who are not experienced and have low teaching skills which may bother you just for 1st year after 1st year you ony get good profs.

Placement Experience:

As per my records from 5sem student can apply for jobs and many companies vists our campus regularly for recruitment most common companies are like TCS ,Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, l&t, concentric, tech Mahindra and also other local companies. Highest package of last year was like 8lpa And average was 3.4 lpa 60 to 70 percent student got placement but tech companies generally prefercs,IT,BCA,mca, bba, and mba students I am also thinking of getting on campus placement

Entrance Preview:

IIT JEE, I opted for this college because it is one of the prestigious college of India. Even though I was not knowing that ISM is going to convert into IIT (as the tag of IIT matters more for most Indian students).

Placement Experience:

Well pleacements are quite good. But since my department is applied geophysics which is a research oriented branch so placements may be found low in this branch but in other branch they are quite good and will improve because of conversation to IIT.
