Remarks

The college and it's management is good but they need to improve some of the official process through online as it can save the time of the students and faculty both. Last but not the least university has a 4 storied central library with lacs of books.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Courses in fine arts and arts are too good. B.A. courses are focuses on subject learning and NET. There are also several program for civil services exams. University has its own computer training centre. University also offers diploma courses on several language learnings.

Placement Experience

3.5

In the fine arts section there are huge number of placement in music television and media industry. In arts section they also guide students for career oriented courses like computer training etc.

College Events

4.5

There is a bunch of festivals celebrated in the campus. Along with the college fresher's and fests there is Basanta Utsav,Pochishe Boishakh( Rabindranath Tagore birth anniversary),Bakse Srabon(Tabor's Death anniversary),Aban mela(Handicraft fare),Sarodotshob,Saraswati puja and many more festivals which are celebrated in the campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As this is state govt aided university the fees are very nominal. Avg cost of a bachelor's course is around 7-8k. And the university has it's own branch of SBI,where all the transaction related to admission and exams are taken care of. Payment can be done online during the admission period via online application. For odd semester fees are 1265 For even semester fees are 650 For exams fees are approx 450

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers various scholarships. Some are sponsored by the state govt and the college has its own scholarship program for the students securing ranks in their fields.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is really habitable. People are friendly. Politics of the campuss is driven by the student wing of state govt. I n the university there are students from various nationality like Bangladesh Srilanka Canada And other European and Asian countries. Campuss is full of students from every religion ethnicity and all are treated equally irrespective of their cast creed gender religion or sexual orientation. The avg male to female ration in the campus is about 1:3. The budget of the campus is well distributed. As a result campuss is clean and well maintained all the time.

Hostel Facilities

3

No but the university have good hostel facility for the students opting for it. University have its hostel campus's in 5 km distance from the campus. Hostels are good. There are different facilities for differently abaled students.

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah seniors they need a special mention. Seniors are really helpful in guiding students in their future plans. They help juniors for their exam preparation. They also help in the preparation for career orientation. Seniors also guide in taking right decision at right time.

Admission

I was looking for a course in B.A. Bengali literature. I found Rabindra Bharati University very up to date about the syllabus and their focused curriculum on NET and good faculty. Admission are done after the 12th boards results out from west bengal higher secondary council. Admission are based on merit score. Tentative dates for admission : June1-May30

Faculty

4

The faculty is good.for each subject there are approx 50-60 classes per semester. Average age of faculty is about 35 years. They are well qualified most of them have Ph.D in their fields. Seminars and workshops are organised on a regular basis. Faculty are really helpful in guiding their students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum provides a comprehensive retrospective of literature from the Old English period to Modern period, while also including English works by Indian authors to demonstrate the diversity and evolution of English literature over the years. The current curriculum I believe requires more seminars and lectures from guest faculties on contemporary research and topics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum and faculty members are good. I chose this because English is my favourite subject. Also it you study English there are lots of opportunities present here. Student ratio is 100-120 student per department. There are 26 courses available The faculty is very standard.Teaching Method is very good because attendence is strictly followed by our college. One of the reasons teachers are committed to us .They try their level best to teach us in short time. There are projectors also used in our classes.Overall it is satisfactory. Every term exam happens in 6 months. It is very difficult to pass those exams. As our college is under VIDYASAGAR UNIVERSITY,so questions are set by them.Thats why exams are very difficult to pass.

I wanted to explore the CS stream from the beginning so I joined this program. The faculty: student ratio in BA is good and is around 1:7. All the teachers are well equipped and have complete knowledge of the subjects they are teaching. The exams were difficult as compared to the SPPU endsem exams, but that is expected from a college of such repute.
