College

Remarks :

It has a great space for syllabus based studying. It doesn't encourage you into anything other than the syllabus. Interaction with other Colleges are minimal. Time inside campus for creating thinking is minimal.

Course Curriculum Overview :

course is somewhat general and the examination patterns with internals are really hectic. My College uses a 4 internal system which has to be conducted within 3 1/2 months time. Generally have 6 subjects per semester and each subject has two assignments which has to be submitted within this duration.

Placement Experience :

placements and job opportunities are decent and with good quality we can almost get a placement of around 3.5 lpa salary on most cases. Rarely some people get a really good placement. Many people are not placed and students generally donot get the chances like in other institutions.

College Events :

Its really terrible, the Principal never encourages any outside fests or events to be conducted in the College. People who go to the fests outside the College are not given their attendance. Students who represent College for sports and other non academic events are not even getting the travel expenses. The funding for technical and cultural events is very low and most of the time students has to push through hard to get something out of the given budget.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is feasible, tution fees comes around 75k plus all the additional payment given for all the events held which generally comes around 10-12k. Hostel fees is around 18k excluding the food. The mess costs students around 3-3.5k monthly. College also provides bus facilities which costs according to ur pickup and drop location (generally much more expensive than normal bus)

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

scholarship is provided only for catholic students. There is no other scholarships available that i know of. They get around 5000 as scholarship amount if they attend one of their spiritual classes every year.

Campus Life :

Sports and arts are not encouraged much. The College doesn't even have clubs or rather there are clubs but they are not allowed to conduct any activity. There is no extra time in College which restricts students in the class and studying only the syllabus.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel works on sharing system where each room is shared between 4 students each. Food is mediocre. Rooms are decent. Toilets and bathrooms are common and its cleaned by maids in once a week which is good. Hostel fees is around 18k excluding the food. The mess costs students around 3-3.5k monthly.

Alumni/Alumna :

I have never seen an alumni who has passed come back to interact which is my personal feedback. Seniors who come are mostly who has arriars to be taken care of. The College actually does not much care about anything other than syllabus based studies and results on paper.

Admission :

KEAM examination was the way i got into this College. The procedure is simple, students have to register for the KEAM exam which is conducted by the govt of Kerala every year(engg qualification exam).

Faculty :

most of the staff is mtech qualified and some of them are experienced, which cannot be said about most of them. The teaching staff sometimes has a good knowledge about the subject they are teaching but some of the staff learns the subject with the STUDENTS itself.!!

Students who have completed their sixth semester can start their placements. Infosys, Wipro,TCS, digitalcore, USTGlobal , Sutherland, Accenture etc had taken placements from last years. The average package starts from 120000 lpa and highest was 700000lpa. This year itself more than 800 students was placed in different companies.
