Reputed college

Remarks :

Overall it’s a really good college both in terms of academics and extra curricular activities. You will meet really good people here. I enjoy every bit of my time here in my college with friends, we play a lot chat a lot. I hope this helps.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum followed is from Mumbai University. Syllabus for the exam is quite lengthy, we have to study during exam days it’s chill most of the time. Exams are also pretty itense more attention is given to theory exams than on practicals and assingment.

Placement Experience :

My college is actually is ranked very high in terms of placement and job opportunities it’s probably due to our student culture. Last year one of our senior bagged a package of around 40 lakhs in a Japanese MNC which was one of the highest in all of the Mumbai university colleges.

College Events :

For now there are no cultural and management festivals in our college but technical fests are what our college know for students from various colleges in Mumbai come to visit our technical fests. Everything in fests are organised and arranged by the students itself.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Tuition fees is actually a little expensive, for the first year it’s around 170k which is normal compared to other colleges under Mumbai University. That’s why students from not that well off backgrounds might not be able to afford the fees. But students can apply for tfws(tuition fee waiver scheme) provided by the government based on merit.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Students can get scholarships by the government or by other organisations. There is a EBC(Economically Backward Section) Scholorship for students whose parents income is less than 8 lakhs per year they can get 50% off of their tuition fees.

Campus Life :

Our college is actually known for excellent extracurricular they provide due to our student culture. Gender ratio is really good compared to other engineering colleges it’s around 60% boys and 40% girls. Everybody is chill no discrimination faced by any student.

Hostel Facilities :

There’s no hostel facility provided by the college cause most of the students coming in are from the city itself. College is near very prime locations of Mumbai so the rent for PG are also high as compared to the average it can go anywhere around 10k-20k per month for a PG on double sharing basis.

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors in our college are really helpful whether in terms of academics or other activities, there’s no ragging nothing of that sort. Our college has a great alumni network which also helps students with their entrepreneurial dreams.

Admission :

I got admission into this college through offline mode as there were some seats vacant. Its actually a Sindhi minority college so if one is Sindhi it will be easier for them, there were some seats vacant in CS and IT department but they were given to Sindhi miniority students luckily I got into ExTC department.

Faculty :

Faculty in our college is very from reputed background, every teacher is well experienced in their fields. Some of our teachers (also principal) have published books and research papers. But like most of the colleges teachers have little to no interest in teaching. There are few good teachers but the majority of the teachers doesn’t show interest.

Talking about placements, most of the placements occurs in CSE and IT branch, but surprisingly in the Government College of Engineering Aurangabad, the Mechanical branch has the same placements comparatively just the fact is that the package is less.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As every Diploma passing student enters to degree college same process I went through. The faculty of the college are well educated and hardworking. As a student, you have to reach out to your faculty and maintain a good relation with them to get constant support from them. the ratio is 25:1. The teaching method of professors is very professional. Exams are as per the government regulations and the difficulty level is moderate for general students.

Placement Experience:

Students are encouraged to take internships from the moment they are confident and can handle responsibility. They are eligible for placements after semester 4. Approximately 60+ companies visit the campus every year and they take an average of 4-5 offers. For instance, the highest package can be 40+lpa from Microsoft. 90-100% placements happen every year. My plan after getting the degree is to acquire a placement and work with the organization.
