Remarks

Pros - 1. inside the city. Ease to travel because of last mile train connectivity 2. Free bus service for 1st year 3. internal exams every Monday and Saturday Cons 1. Outdated and poorly maintained labs 2. faculties not much knowledgeable 3. no scope of research and activities other than curriculum

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

Curriculum is designed by Anna University since it is affiliated to it. exams are also conducted by anna University. But the faculty and labs in the college are not upto mark. the equipments were old and outdated.

Placement Experience

1.5

As far as mechanical engineering department is concerned there were not much placement opportunities. Most companies are BPO and call centres. Sutherland was the main recruiter who recruited 200 members for voice and non voice positions. Not much opportunities for core technical roles

College Events

2

They conduct symposium for all departments. They'll be some technical forums organised yearly once, that too for the sake of putting it in college sovenior. I attended a placement cum career guidance workshop from Barclays that too as a part of CSR activity

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is defined by anna University but for management quota considering the infrastructure. the fee is high. For per semester - 50 thousand for merit graduates for non merit, management quota seats it will upto 2 lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

As far as my knowledge there were no scholarship or loans given from management side. only scholarship given was for SC and ST students. That too based on government rules and the amount will be paid to them by Tamil Nadu government. That's all

Campus Life

2

They don't concentrate much on sports they don't even have a proper ground for sports. They have sports events every year but none will participate because mostly it will be after college hours in the evenings

Alumni/Alumna

college doesn't have a proper alumni network and they don't even conduct alumni meetings frequently. I haven't met a alumni in my 4 years of college. Even if alumni meet is conducted they won't invite current students.

Admission

I chose the college through anna University counselling process. I chose this college because it is one of the few colleges inside the city and i wanted to reduce the travel time and also for my counseling cut off this is the best college i can was unable get a mechanical seat

Faculty

2.5

Many faculties are not good. HOWEVER PhD level staffs have good knowledge but can't expect them to take care of all the classes. typical school teacher mind set - to complete the portions. not at all considering the amount of knowledge gained and how well the students understood the topic
