Remarks :
Yes, the college is overall a good place for those who could not get selected in IITs or NITs. But, It would not be fair to choose this college over IITs adn NITs. The College Management is very strict and you can not do the works as per ur choice.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is designed exclusively for the wholastic developement of the students. The college emphasizes on personality developement and character building through various programs. It also focuses on preparing students for further placements with the help of a highly stable and qualified placement cell. The college also owns a skill developement cell and it motivates and guides its students for various skill developement programms adn a student of the college has recently secured 1st position in world skills in water technology. Overall it has a complete package for students.
Placement Experience :
Yes, college has a renowned placement cell and this college has an excellent placement record in past. Almost all famous companies visit the college every year and hire a good number of students. some companies like infosys cognizant, wipro, tech mahindra, bosch hire more than 100 students every year. Some other national companies also offer very high packages to the students. Almost 80 to 90 percent students get placed every year. So, you need not worry about the placement if you are taking admission in the college.
College Events :
Many cultural and tech fests are celebrated every year in the college. Some famous cultural fests are Roshni Nights and Celegence. Some famous tech fests are Hackathon and Vidyantrik. A large number of students participate in these fests after getting selected in auditions. Roshni night is celebrated on the eve of deepawali and it is only open for hostelites. Mr. Roshni and Mrs. Roshni are elected from forth year by a team of jury members. Celegence is the biggest cultural fest celebrated in college in which students from neighbouring colleges also participate. The college also organises shootings of many short fils and web series. so, there are good chances of entertainment along with knowledge and skill gain through tech fests like hackathon. The college also has a literary club which organises many debate and poetry competitions in the college. The college has many dance clubs like dexters, errors dance crew and royals dance club. It has a renowned dramatics society Anubhuti which has led the college in world level fests like spring fest of IIT kharagpur and won several prizes and awards.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The college fees are quite affordable. For btech, you have to pay tuition fees of 120000 per year and and an additonal 20000 for skill and personality developement. The college fees is quite nominal as compared to the fees of other private college in Oddisa such as KlIT. Hostel fees are also affordable which range from 65000 to 100000 per year with all modern amenities provided.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are no loan facilities offered by the college itself but it has tie ups with union bank of india which provides easy loans at the rate of 10% per annum compounded annually after the course is over and the simple interest of the same rate is charged during course period. The college has a Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme for the students of Orrisa and 5% of students from each class avail this facility probably on the basis of their ranks in OJEE or JEE mains. Since, i m not from Orrisa, i have no deep knowledge about that. But, the management is quite lenient in case of fee payment and you can pay easily on dates as per ur wish and comfort.
Campus Life :
The college has a healthy male to female ratio of about 5:2. The majority of students are from the state of Orrisa. Other are generally from Bihar, WB, Jharkhand, UP and Chattisgarh. The main language in use is Hindi and English. All oddia students are also able to speak and understand hindi fluently. There is discrimination on the basis of Economical conditions of students. There is no discrimination also on the basis of Race, Caste, Religion and Gender. There is no seniority and ragging in the college at all and the seniors are quite cooperative and friendly. All people live in harmony. Labs are quite modern and all sorts of tools are available there. IT labs are equipped with Air Conditioning System. you will be impressed to see the labs for the first tym. The condition of Sports is satisfactory in the college. It has a good scope for Volleyball, Basket ball, Cricket and Kabbadi along with any other games such as Badminton and Ball pool. Coaches are well qualified and cooperative.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are well maintained and they provide all modern amenities. The hostel has three types of rooms. The cheapest one is 3 bedded room which is charged at 65000 every year. Then there are two bedded luxury rooms which charge fees of 75000 per year and then there are delux two bedded rooms which are charged at 100000 per annum. The best one is to take is that which is charged at 75000 per year in my view.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, since, the college is very old. So, it has a good aluminee network. They visit the college from time to time and pass necessary guidelines and provide valuable suggestions to the current students. The seniors are quite helpful and there is no ragging at all.
Admission :
This college is ranked 94 by NIRF. This is an NBA accredited college and also holds NAAC A grade. I browsed the college details on google and many trusted sites lke quora and career 360. I also consulted many aluminee of the college and found their views positive towards the college. The course fees were also affordable. These things helped me get attracted towards the college. Then i registered for OJEE counseeling and i got my desired course in final round amd then after verification of documents, i got admission in the college. Now, I am a 1st year student amd i have got all things as per the expectations.
Faculty :
Some Faculties are highly qualified and eveb though some faculty members are not having high educational qualifications, they have excellent teaching methodology. Many teachers have come from IITS and NITs. Overall, the college has a very good team of faculty members. The most important thing is that they are very cooperative and helpful in nature and are ready to help and guide students at any time.
