Remarks :

Best National Institute of Technology in north, 2nd best placement, food is good but purely vegetarian so may be problematic for non-veg people. City is quite cheap and not that clean. It is difficult for first few months but then you realize the fun here and live happily.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As an autonomous college and one of the premium college medium of education is English. Exams are conducted in mid semester and end semester 2 semesters a year. Exam is based on the basics taught in class.

Placement Experience :

This is the second best National Institute of Technology in the basis of placement. For Branches like computer science and engineering, information Technology the placement is very high with an average of 18. 5 LPA.

College Events :

1. Freshers(Swagat)- is the freshers program for 1st yr students, many dance and cultural events are conducted 2. Aviskar(tech fest)- every branch conduct number of events and at night enjoyment is being done by DJ night or other programs. 3. Culruv (cultural fest)- Best among all with bike shows cultural nights and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is different for different people(per year) 1. For students with less than 1 lakh per annum It is 92000 for hostelers and 38000 for day scholars 2. For students with less than 5 lakh per annum It is 133666 for hostelers and 79666 for day scholars 3. For students with more than 5 lakh per annum It is 217000 for hostelers and 163000 for day scholars

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As engineering Institute there are many scholarships, 1. Swami dayanand scholarship 2. Foundation for excellence scholarship 3. Merit cum mean scholarship (Institute funded) 4. Aluminum scholarship 5. Samsung scholarship (for Navodayans only)

Campus Life :

Laboratories are advanced and having best of equipments, lab assistants are helpful and explain where any one stuck you can not mug up the things you have to do and learn, there are 6 labs in first year.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel charges 24000 per year, mess 30000 per year, hostel are good, three people in a big room. Canteen with service upto 3 at night, 1st yr sudents are not allowed to go out after 9 but others are allowed.

External Expense : Rs. 2000 - Rs. 4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumini is very active and many placement and scholarships avail due to them, they are very good and interactive and they also conduct events occasionally, many of our alumini are IAS,IPS and employees of MNCs.

Admission :

Good placements, campus is just good, senior also reffered me this college, and my rank also permitted to this branch that is Information Technology branch in this college. It has good faculties and all the facilities. After all this is NIT a premium college of India.

Faculty :

Some are very good with their topic, some (may be 2 or 3) are unable to explain although they know the subject due to experience. Over all they are good but mark scoring is not easy here you have to study hard to get good marks.

The Campus life

Placement Experience:

Placement of the college is decent highest package was 30 lac per annum and average is 6-7 lac per annum....From 6th semester u are eligible for the campus placements.... companies that visited are- IBM, TCS,etc I just don't remember now there are many... percent of students getting placements are near about 80% i guess

The placement is very good in my college. From the 7th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Mahindra etc do visit my college. Remarks:

The best part of this college is that it has an incubation centre which is governed by the DST government of India to promote new innovative ideas and mould the incubator to start there startup and became an entrepreneur.
