Remarks :

The College is really appreciable. It gives a student the exposure which he requires. On the other hand it needs to work a little bit on the academic side. Means it needs to imbibe coaching for different competitive exams like GATE, ESE, ISRO etc. free of cost.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is quite fine. It included lab practicals, workshops and other stuffs. Sometimes the day becomes hectic as the day becomes full of all the theory classes and practicals. But it happens only in particular days.

Placement Experience :

The placements are not much in our college. Very few high tech companies come to our campus. But the state companies come for the placements, and mainly Electrical and Chemical students get placements.

College Events :

Yes, technical and cultural events are organised in our college. We have an annual event named PYROKINES. Its one of the biggest institutional event of Assam. A lot of students and people gather for the event. Well known band and singers are also invited for performance.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is feasible. It's around 2000 for a semester. The fee structure doesn't create mess for studies. Also we are provided books in the library, so no worries for books also. As a whole the fee structure is fine.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

In terms of scholarship, our college doesn't provide any scholarships. But they give us information about all the scholarships that we can avail like Ishaan Uday, etc. They also help the students in each and every step of the scholarship.

Campus Life :

Our college also puts emphasis on extracurricular activities. There are many clubs in our college for extracurricular activities like Robotics club, Sports club, Quiz club etc. Our college has team of almost every sports like Volleyball, Cricket, Football etc.

Alumni/Alumna :

The Senior students are helpful. They guide us through the education as well as social life. They want us not to repeat the mistakes which they did. Some of them try to dominate but majority of them try to help us.

Admission :

I got into Assam Engineering College through entrance exam. The name of the exam is Common Entrance Exam ( CEE). I got a rank of 460. I opted for the branch Chemical Engineering. Later I changed my branch to Electrical Engineering. I also opted for hostel.

Faculty :

The faculty is OK. Some of them are Alumni of our own college, ASSAM ENGINEERING COLLEGE, and some are from other colleges. They are not much interactive with the students but still they teach well. Some teachers are a bit boring but still it happens everywhere.

The placement scenerio is quite good in the campus. Most of the studemts gets placed from on-campus placements, around 80-90%. Also the packages are also satusfactory. We are also encouraged to pursue higher studies and excell in the domains further for a better understanding of the subject. But it is purely on the students personal choice.

The computer science engineering course is good enough and the teachers will make you understand well but there also some teachers whose lectures are difficult to understand. The students get placement from the final year. The companies are Microsoft, Bandhan bank, HDFC Bank etc. The average package is 8 lakh and the highest package is 26 lakh. The maximum number of students who get placement having a percentage of 60+. I plan to get a job at Microsoft.
