A brief review SOVARANI MEMORIAL COLLEGE

Postive remarks:- 1. Student friendly. 2. Admission fees and other fees are Very low. 3. They are no such a thing like ragging or no cases of sexual harassment. 4. Transportation is very good. 5. Good teaching staff 6. Good non teaching staff 7. Many extra curricular activities 9. NCC and NSS Negative:- 1. Lack professors 2. College Library is not that good. 3. Infrastructure is not good 4. Lack class rooms. Though many rooms are being built now.

I am reading in CBCS system.After 6 months they take a semester exam.I doing honours in English literature.So i have to give total 6 semester examination and there are total 14 honours paper and 12 other general subject papers, skill enhancement papers, environ studies and DSE.Papers The syllabus in my opinion is very good.It's vast, systemic and timely.

No.There is so such thing like campuse placements in present.They is also no internship available now.They are trying to make this placement or internship thing available in this coming year.We have been informed that it will get available under this new CBCS system.We are looking forward to this.

The admission fee and other expenses are meetable.For B.A honours courses it's between 2000-3000.And for the B.Sc.Courses it's between 3000-5000.And for same for the B.Com courses also.So education expenses and other expenses are low compared to Other colleges.Also there are free studentship available for the poor students.Concession is available on college tuition fees.

There are many scholarship available such as satyanrayan khan smiriti scholarship.SOVARANI devi smirit scholarship and 2 other scholarship.You can get concession on you college tuition fees.There is commitee for the poor students.There they get financial aid.

Our college is famously for extra curricular activities.There is NCC and NSS.Many students of our college has got the chance to play in the state level games.There is beautician courses, computer courses,and many competition is held every year such as drawing competitions, music competitions, quiz competition, recitation, singing and many other extracurricular activities.

Senior students are obviously helpful.They have helped us in many times.They not just help us in studies but they also helps us doing wall magazine and many other things.They helped us publishing our college magazine.They are helpful.

First you have to apply online for the admission.Later they will publish a metit list and if your are in list, you will get a date to visti the college and submit necessary documents.Then you will legally become a student of this college.I got admission following the same process.

Faculty is good.Though some department us lacking processors now.For example, you can take our English department.We have just only 4 professors.I think We need two more professor keeping our new syllabus in mind.Other departments have adequate number of professors in my opinion.
