Remarks :

Transportation is difficult because the College is situated in a rural area where public transportation is very less. If you are by your own means then no problem. Also there are no many shops around the College.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course is based on ktu university. There are 8 semesters and written exam at the end of each semester. If you fail in any exam you can repeat it 4 times. And if you fail in all attempts you will fail in the course.

Placement Experience :

College provides placement according to marks obtained by students. If you fail in any exam you have a very less chance to get a placement from College. You will find many job opportunities for mechanical engineering.Internship is not provided by the College.

College Events :

Arts,sports,tech fest,onam celebration,College day,students union day. Every day is there in the College but you have to take steps to conduct these days.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees are less compared to other Colleges in a range 10000-50000 according to your entrance rank. If you don't pay fees on time you will get kicked out of class with no consideration at all. They are very strict on fees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No kind of loan from College. You have to take loan from a bank and give money directly to College. They are very strict on fees and those who does not pay fees gets kicked out of class after a date declared by the College.

Campus Life :

College has very good lab facilities. Extracurricular activities are not much promoted. Workshops are very good. No sexual orientation. No politics. Number of boys are higher. College is not based on any religion caste or race.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel infrastructure and facilities are very poor. I recommend not to go for College hostel. The food and water are very bad. Many students hospitalised after drinking College water. College canteen is the worst.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

No support from seniors and they are not helpful. They support only in the association called cams. When there is arts da,sports day,only they will help. That is so rude about seniors. Ragging is not in the College.

Admission :

Entrance exam for admission is keam. You want a minimum 12 marks to qualify the exam. The higher the marks more chance to get the College you like. You can choose any College and if you get there fill up the form and you are part of the College.

Faculty :

They are well qualified friendly and very interested in teaching. Almost every faculty does not cover the entire syllabus. They will take classes with out considering the students doubts. They will not always give homeworks.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
