Remarks

Overall ,I do not rate my college experience as very good. The fee is moderately low around 40000 INR per semester, but the infrastructure is very poorly planned ,lack of open spaces and focus on bookish knowledge as opposed to practical experience . The

WBJEE 28893 i chose this course because of all other choice of streams were full it was not my first choice.

Course Curriculum Overview

Average, The practical aspects are severly limited some of the faculty members are good and teach but most of the time it's very school like.

Placement Experience

TCS, Tech Mahindra recruits mostly averaging 3-3.5 LPA and a few more come but not always .Approx 40% placement also Bridge Campus is conducted with association to other colleges.

College Events

College Festivals is supposed to be held every year but due to lack of release of funds by college, there has been no major events apart from a few small gatherings funded by student''s collective money.Nothing major though.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The hostels have 4 beds in a room with common bathrooms in each floor.Hostels have WIFI and the food is average apart from some day or two a week when some special food item is served.The fee is around 45000INR per year .

Campus Life

Capmus life has to be below average with nothing much to entertain yourself withi t is situated on a extremely remotest of the area gender ratios are different in different departments. Girls are more in some streams like CSE,IT etc else it is boys who dominate numerically most of the students are Bengalis and people come from neighbouring states as well,out of which almost 90% hail from middle class backgrounds.

The senior students were cooperating and helped juniors in various aspects of course as well as some extra touch.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

From fifth semester you are eligible for the intership . And from seventh semester you are eligible for the placement. Many companies visited our college such as TCS , IBM ,COGIZINANT, amd many more . The highest package is around 15 lpa and the average package is 4 - 5 lpa . The placement ratio is around 80 - 85 %

Overall a good college to start your career in the tech industry.

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

Overall in this college you will really enjoy the college life with the good campus good its type curricular activites.
