Best Statistical Program

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course structure was pretty decent and thorough. Our Computer and Communication Sciences department was responsible for teaching the research capabilities of computer science and information technology and their allied areas.

Placement Experience :

Placement record are exceptional for our institute. Our entire batch was placed before the completion of our 2 year program. The highest package was as high as 22 lacs and the average package was around 12 lacs.

College Events :

Workshops on topics like SIX SIGMA GREEN BELT, Application of Statistics in Social Sciences, Statistical Data Analysis are organised in order to expand the knowledge-base of students beyond class bound information.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure was very much feasible and helped us garner some valuable knowledge. The fee I paid was very nominal, especially for a professional program. College provides decent facilities at such a nominal price.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are available for the research scholars. Separate accommodation facilities are also available for the visiting faculty. The hostel good very good infrastructure and the mess food is delicious, to say the least. In some rare cases Masters students are also provided hostel.

Admission :

Admissions are on the basis of graduation marks and the entrance test conducted by the university. The entrance test is set to test your analytical abilities. Students are invited for a counselling round, after which admissions are granted.

Faculty :

Our institute had a wide array of faculty constantly dedicated towards the research work and the advancement of the IT sector. All of our faculty members were efficiently qualified and had a number of accreditation to their name.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is quite comprehensive and provides detailed study of organic chemistry. This made me choose the subjects. It prepares you well for further academic pursuits. However there are certain aspects that can be improved like they can add internship in thesis/ last semester to improve practical knowledge. They can add their own placement cell and should also prepare students for abroad academic programs. They can also add more skill based courses and should provide masters in them. Exams are not difficult if concepts are clear. However marking is hard.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are basically two examinations held every semester. Mid-term examination and end-semester examination. There are 4 semesters in total for this course. The level is up to the subjects. Some are difficult while some are moderate.

Placement Experience:

Companies come for placement during the 3rd semester. Our placement cell does so much hard work to attract companies. Some of the past recruiters were Cognizant, E&Y, Gartner, Max Life Insurance, etc., and around 101 students are placed with an average package of 8 Lakh/annum. The highest Package was 18-20 Lakh/Annum and the lowest was 4-5 Lakh/Annum. My plan is to go for placement here.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements during the final semester of M.Sc Electronics. Companies that visit Jamia are Airtel, TCS, Hitachi, Wipro, AT&T, and Samsung. All students were 100% placed in these big companies. Some who do internships in other companies were offered Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). The highest package offered was around 5 lakhs and the average offered was around 1 lakh. I did get placed in Reliance Jio, however, I wished to study further, therefore I did a few months of work in the company and then dropped to pursue MBA.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is very good here. Many companies like google, byzu, TOI and many more come every year. Placement cell is very good. Average package is about 6-8 lac per annum. But basically few students gets placements. They go for research so they keep study further and opt for phd.

Remarks:

One Mr. Robert who was always at the counter of the college with tremendous memory - He was Management for us for all practical purposes. Otherwise, the college principal and other management visibility were very low.

Admission:

My preference. i) Reputation and ii) administration; applied as a normal student would do - attended to a small interview and questioning by the administrator. It was in 1975 - now the system is changed and admissions are based on univ listing. Opted for this course as I had done BSc.

Remarks:

Hostel facility must be provided to each student. I didn't get hostel accommodation so I took a small room on rent near my college. But I paid a huge amount as rent. There are many other problem living in a rented accommodation.

Entrance Preview:

The college conducts its own entrance exam and on the basis of marks obtained in the exam, they call for admission. As AIIMS is one of the most prestigious colleges in India it was obviously my first choice over other colleges for a post-graduate degree.
