Remarks :

The building is old. But labs are new. High end state class machines and facilities are available. Toilets are kept clean. Benches in class are old but of no problem. Air conditioned seminar halls, labs, mini auditorium with projector is available brach wise.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It's well planned for the student. Exam is based on class 10 and 12 syllabus. I wrote engineering so had physcics maths chemistry. Exam was relatively easy. Just do previous year question papers. Exam was conducted in 2 days.

Placement Experience :

Placement is fine. Mostly 3.5 lakhs per annum salary. Some students did get selected for higher packages. I can proudly say that every qualified student got placed in my batch. Some in bank jobs and other in IT industries.

College Events :

The events celebrated in our college are: Union day Childrens day Final yrs day Holi Onam Vishu Christmas Diwali Teachers day Batch day Branch day. That's being said, everyday was a celebration in my life at this college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees is about 8000? per sem. Its very cheap as it's a government college. But that also depends on one's financial status. Scst and other reservation do enjoy reduction in fees. Scholarship are also available.

Campus Life :

Sports ground is there. Football cricket basketball can be played. Swimming pool is there 1kilometer away. Batminton is the most played sport along with Cricket. IEEE and robotics clue ( Robocek) and film and photography club is also there. I recommend robotics club. Real active and a priceless experience.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni is stong and help fund placement and college improvement. In year 2015 they bought 2 new bus for the college. A 25 yr reunion is conducted every year. Every student is forced to join alumini at end of college life.

Admission :

Wrote keam exam. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) is conducting various Entrance Examinations and/or Allotment Process for admission to Professional Courses every year: Kerala Engineering Architecture and Medical (KEAM) courses, Three year LLB , Five year LLB, LLM, BPharm (Lateral Entry), PG Ayurveda, PG Homoeo, PG Nursing, PG Medical, PG Dental, PG Pharmacy. The allotments are made through a Single Window System of the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP)

Faculty :

The faculty is well trained and knowledgeable. They are helping and positive minded and optimistic about every students hidden capabilities. They guide us very well through the course and seminar and project. Learned a lot from them.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
