Remarks :

It is one of the best college in India. Top in the Nit and holds National importance. Overall college is good. So much social life and you can enjoy a lot here with adjacent beach. And study is also good.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is good. 2 semester are there in one year, each comprisrs of 1 mid semester exams and end semester exams including few class tests and presentations. Attendance, class performance, viva etc are also important.

Placement Experience :

Yes, placements are good, though placement in core field of civil engineering lacks for M. Tech. But there are plenty of opportunities for other field like administration companies and service companies.

College Events :

There are numerous events which takes place in our college. Incident and engineer are major cultural and tech fest respectively. Other than them almost every week we have events. There are several clubs they do conduct event.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is as par with other Nit college. So, i would say normal. Hostel fees is little bit expensive for a government college. But still fees is feasible overall. Economic weaker section students gets subsody and scholarship.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

In M. Tech, MHRD provides stipend for all the students of 12400 per month. Loan is easily available, there is SBI branch in the college which gives the loan. Apart from them there are few other scholarship on the basis of meritorisity.

Campus Life :

Extracurriculars activities are so much, they happens every weekend. Music club and few other clubs also perform their events. Sports meet also takes place. Even the students gets chance to select in National team. Inter college sports meet also happened.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility is good, there is so much greenery all around. Rooms are big. Mess quality is good in some messes. Ventilation is also good. But facilities like washing machine lacks. Water also runs oit due to wayer scaricity in area.

External Expense : Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, there is a vast network of alumini amd senior students. They are helpful, they share their experience and give tips to perform well in the exams. They do share their notes, work, helps in project.

Admission :

By clearing the cutoff in GATE and this follows various rounds of counseling then you have to choose your branch in counseling. And then branch may slide in college. Then you got the seat on the Merit basis of scorecard.

Faculty :

Faculties are highly talented and experienced. They are involved in the research and they also review the industrial and practical problems of nearby companies. Our college has contributed a lot, even in the Konkan railway.

Experience of college life

Placement Experience:

since it was an government college the college people were least bothered regarding the placements for the students, there was no placements happening in our college.Neither any if the companies visited our college to hire the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course was interesting, industrial automation had a wide scope nowadays,syllabus was good,but in m tech most of time we work on practicals,but as this college is government college, not much focused on practical learning inside the college, No research initiative was available in this college, operational research was the elective option, All courses are good in engineering only u have to have an interest in particular subject then u will have a great future

Entrance Preview:

I took PGCET (Post Graduation Common Entrance Test) conducted by state of karnataka, India. I got a rank of 8204 in the entrance test.I was always facinated by the concept of robotics and being an electronic engineer , it became clear where my interest lies.

Placement Experience:

Even though the placement for graduate program in engineering was good , there was no campus placement opportunities for students doing masters. There is an unsolved dilemma in this part of the world that students doing masters are more inclined to become a lecturer. So, unfortunately there was no placement opportunities for us in the campus.
