Remarks :
IIT Delhi, my alma meter is one of the best and prestigious Engineering institutes. It has got the tag of Institute of Eminence (IOE) by the Government of India. It provides a congenial atmosphere for research and innovation. The faculties are quite knowledgeable and helpful. They guide the students to the best of their abilities. I am proud of my alma meter.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is as per the recent trends prevelent in the industries. It attracts a large no.of students to pursue research in the demanding fields. A no. of incentives are also provided to them. There are two semesters in a year. In each semester, extending for 6 months, we have 2 minor tests, each subject of 25 marks and 1 major test with each subject having a meximum marks of 50. Along with it, some marks are reserved for assignments, presentation, and attendance also. At the end of semester, Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) on the Scale of 10 is released as per the performance of students. Overall Semesters grade is known as CGPA/ Cumulative Grade Point Average.
Placement Experience :
There is a good mechanism for placements and jobs. A no. of companies visit our campus and recruit the students as per their requirement from various streams. Good packages and attractive incentives are also offered to them so as to select best technocratic minds of India.
College Events :
A large no.of events are organised for the overall development of its students like NSS, NSO, NCC, IIT Sports meets, techno- cultural fests like: Rendezvous,Trust etc. The activities help in building a good personality for the students. NSS wing of IITD organises Kaizen every year so as to inculcate a professional growth of its students, in this a no. of eminent experts from the recognised fields are invited to deliver guest lectures. Along with it a no.of workshops are also organised.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is feasible. For meritorious and needy students, loan and scholarship facalities are provided so as to ensure that the economic condition of an individual does not become an hindrance for the students' ultimate aim of attaining quality education.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
A no. of loan facilities are there for the financial help of the students. State Bank of India, Canara Bank present in the campus itself provide cheap and affordable loans to the students with minimum paper work. A large no.of Scholarships are there for meritorious and economically backward students by the institute. A no.of stipends are also provided by Ministry of Human Resourse Development, Govt. of India to M.Tech and Ph.D students in the form of Teaching Assistanceship.
Campus Life :
A large no. of extra - curricular activities are there for the overall development of its students like NSS, NSO, NCC, IIT Sports meets, techno- cultural fests like: Rendezvous,Trust etc. The activities help in building a good personality for the students. The labs are well-equipped with all the necessary infrastructure, testing devices, machines and lab equipments. We have excellent state of art labs. The lab staffs are well- qualified and quite approachable. They are encouraging in pursuing more and more research works.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, I had opted for the Hostel Facality. The Hostel facalities and infrastructure are well upto mark. They are of state-of-the-art. Facalities in the form of Pure drinking water (RO), Medical Facalities, 24 hrs water supply for daily purpose, 24 hrs. Security service, a well cleaned, hygeinic mess are provided round the clock.
Alumni/Alumna :
We have good alumni network by the name of Indian Institute of Technology Alumni Association (IITDAA). The senior students are quite benevolent and helpful. The alumni association provides free access to library to all its alumni members. Special events are organised by IITDAA for get-together of alumni. It also invites its almuni to all the techno- cultural fests, workshops,seminar and guest lectures. IITD is the first IITs in India to have its own Endowment Fund created for the financial assistance of its needy students and alumni.
Admission :
For pursuing M.Tech from IITs. Two stages are involved so as to get an admission into this prestigious institute. First, an individual needs to crack and score good marks in GATE/ General Aptitude Test in Engineering, which is organised by IITs in India. In the second stage, an interview of all the successful candidates, after qualifying the GATE exam, is held, where research-orientex students are scrutinised. And the final list is prepared as per the merits. As per the merit rank and seats available, the vacant seats are filled.
Faculty :
They all are excellent in their respective fields. They are quite approaching and helpful. They are good mentors. They simply believe in simple living and higher thinking. They usually keep the moral of the students high. Their role in making a student an IITian is of immense importance.
