Remarks :

The overall experience at DTU was nice in terms of enjoying the campus life. The studies were average. I would say DTU is a place to get your degree completed easily.

Entrance Preview :

After completing my post graduation I gave the ALL INDIA GATE EXAM to get admission in the M.TECH(MASTER OF TECHNOLOGY) COURSE. I got around 35 marks , as the course was new so i was able to grab a seat at those marks. I had interest in the field of Nuclear Science Technolgoy from quite a long time and since DTU started this course so i preferred it.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was easy to grasp as it was rather a new course started and the teachers were still designing the course . The curriculum was on a trial basis actually, so it was comparatively easier for the first batch students in 2013 to understand the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities :

For internship you had to put efforts from your own since the college could only help you in signing any document if you wanted.

Placement Experience :

Placement and job opportunities at Delhi Technological University are good for computer science(CS) and Information Technology(IT) students. Many big names like Microsoft, Google, Amazon and flipkart etc did visit our campus, but they were more inclined in taking CS and IT students. The average package was 6 LPA.

College Events :

The prominent fest that used to happen was ENGIFEST. There were other small technical and cultural fests that used to happen but not on a big scale. I personally took part in NUKKAD NATAK and found it quite exciting and helpful in developing interpersonal skills.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is a bit high, approximately 1 lac annually. But i would say the fee structure was worth the services and facilities provided there. What i didnt like about the fee structure that it was same for the UG and PG courses and this is not fair.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes the stipend/ scholarship was provided by MHRD, AICTE for PG students. The amount of the scholarship was 8000 per month.

Campus Life :

Campus life at DTU is very relaxing and cool. The green lawns and broad passages make the students enjoy the ambience out there. The gender ratio was fair., the extracurricular activities were many like cricket tournaments, table tennis etc. Many competitions were used to organize by the IT, Mechanical and Electrical department.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel and mess facilities were brilliant at Delhi Technological University. Students who got hostel used to love the ambience in and around the hostel. In short it used to feel a home there. The food at mess was good in quality as well as quantity.

Alumni/Alumna :

The Alumni network at DTU was good as students could interact with the senior students through interaction programs at DTU. One of my senior helped me in referring me to a job.

Exam Structure :

Delhi Technological University follows a semester based system,. In the course of M.TECH there were four semesters and exams used to happen per semester. The exam and labs were quite chilled out and easy to get along with. The experience was quite nice an

Faculty :

The course was started by the department of physics and the teachers in the department were not at all serious about this course. I found the department very carefree . They were not helpful as well as sincere.I had a bad experience with the faculty out

Placement Experience:

The college has a 100% placement record. The college placement cell is professional and supportive and they guide us during the placement tenure. During our batch placement drive, around 120+ companies visited the campus. The highest package went up to 25 LPA and the average package was around 16 LPA. I also received a package of 18 LPA from Microsoft which was like dream come true. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Tower Research Capital, Mercedes Benz, Amazon, Google, Infosys, Wipro, etc visited our campus during the placement drive.

Placement Experience:

From 3 semesters or in the final year students become eligible for placements. TCS HCL WIPRO Cognizant were some of the companies who came to our college and 15 offers were made there in our couse Highest Package offered was 10 Lacs and Average Package offered was 3.5 Lacs and lowest package offered was 2 lacs 60 Percent students got placed in our course and some students did not for placements as they were more interested in teaching and Research Field. My plan was to get a govt job or job in corporate sector as having a masters degree gives you some advantage in the govt exams In Case Student did not get any placements and then he can prepare for govt job and can do some course to keep him up to date with latest technologies in the industry and for better prospects

Remarks:

The campus is located in the NCR which provides it one of the best connectivity with rest of the country. Also it is located in one of the best locality. All the necessities hospital market metro etc are in close proximity ( also available Inside the campus). The campus is strictly bounded by the local colonies which and has almost utilised all of its land space so there is no possibility of expanding it physically which is now a challenge.
