Remarks :

It was the most cooperating college management. I learned a lot from this institute. I would remain indebted to it always.

Entrance Preview :

GATE-2007, Score: 439, This is a premier institute in INDIA with world class teaching learning environment.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum was very much industry oriented. Courses such as CAD, FEM, Reliability, CFD etc really helped in shaping my career. There was lab also associated with all these courses to have a hands on experience on the relevant software.

Internships Opportunities :

I did not go out for internship as being in M.Tech I was receiving a stipend of Rs. 8000/- per month. Apart from this I was getting annual contingency grant of Rs. 5000/-

Placement Experience :

There is excellent placement opportunities. A lot of MNCs with average annual package of 5 lakhs visited our campus. There were 40 students in our department and approximately all were placed with the companies of their choice. Despite being a time of recession, companies enthusiastically turned up. Even some PSUs like Coal India, NTPC etc visited our campus.

College Events :

Our college celebrated several event. If we talk about technical events then there was OPEN HOUSE where project prepared by students of different were displayed where people from outside the campus visited to see. Then there was a cultural annual fest called RENDEZVOUS was held. It was a grand event where students from different reputed colleges from Delhi and outside Delhi participated.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees was very nominal. At the time of admission I paid Rs. 5500/- per sem. as tuition fees. My hostel fees including mess for 1 semester was 12000/-. Entire mess was managed by a mess secretary. He in consultation with other students used to decide the menu.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, I was required to buy a laptop. My institute helped me in availing loan from the State bank of India branch in the campus itself.

Campus Life :

There were a lot of events keep taking place in the campus. Apart from debate, drama, poetry etc regular annual festivals like RENDEZVOUS, OPEN HOUSE, etc were always keep taking place in the campus.

Hostel Facilities :

Entire hostel was managed by representatives of students only. There was a house secretary to take care of the facilities inside the hostel. Apart from this there were Mess Secretary, Sports secretary etc.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes almost all the students of our batch are in touch with each other through a whatsapp group. Some of them are in very reputed organizations like ONGC, GE, Maruti Suzuki etc

Exam Structure :

Exams and labs were little bit hectic. There were 1 major exam and two minor exams in every semester.

Faculty :

The faculty of Applied Mechanics is one of the reputed faculties in IIT Delhi with all the resources available. All the faculty members were highly qualified and very much supporting.

Placement Experience:

Before last year you are eligible for placements. Many companies visit at the time of placement like JN Street, JP Morgan, HFTs, Amazon, Adobe, Microsoft, ITC, and many more. Approx 1200 offers were made throughout campus. Highest package : 3 crores per annum Average package: 15 lakhs per annum Jobs were offered in different profiles ranging from core, software, consult, product manager, and many more. Approx 85% of students were placed. To join the company for field work.

IIIT Delhi Review

Placement Experience:

The college has a 100% placement record. The college placement cell is professional and supportive and they guide us during the placement tenure. During our batch placement drive, around 120+ companies visited the campus. The highest package went up to 25 LPA and the average package was around 16 LPA. I also received a package of 18 LPA from Microsoft which was like dream come true. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Tower Research Capital, Mercedes Benz, Amazon, Google, Infosys, Wipro, etc visited our campus during the placement drive.

Its a Good College under Delhi Govt

Placement Experience:

From 3 semesters or in the final year students become eligible for placements. TCS HCL WIPRO Cognizant were some of the companies who came to our college and 15 offers were made there in our couse Highest Package offered was 10 Lacs and Average Package offered was 3.5 Lacs and lowest package offered was 2 lacs 60 Percent students got placed in our course and some students did not for placements as they were more interested in teaching and Research Field. My plan was to get a govt job or job in corporate sector as having a masters degree gives you some advantage in the govt exams In Case Student did not get any placements and then he can prepare for govt job and can do some course to keep him up to date with latest technologies in the industry and for better prospects

Remarks:

The campus is located in the NCR which provides it one of the best connectivity with rest of the country. Also it is located in one of the best locality. All the necessities hospital market metro etc are in close proximity ( also available Inside the campus). The campus is strictly bounded by the local colonies which and has almost utilised all of its land space so there is no possibility of expanding it physically which is now a challenge.
