Review on Sahrdaya College of engineering and technology

Remarks :

The management encourages the children to participate and in lot of project competitions. The college is having a lots of students chapters like IEEE,IEDC etc,which oragizes a lots of programs like work shops,classes on new technologies etc

Course Curriculum Overview :

The college comes under Abdul kalam technological University. Subjects and curriculum has to be reordered well to get good quality students.now the students is lacking with the pratical knowledge.exams structure is pretty good.

Placement Experience :

The college didn't arrange any internships.but 5-8 company's drive was conducted in our college. And off- campus drive is also encouraged by the college. Company's like zerone,ults, webandcrafts,ibs etc has visited our campus

College Events :

Tekcon-ketcon: this was the tech- fest by the ktu, Kerala wide tech fest. It was conducted smoothly. But not much grandly. Lots of competitions was conducted during the tech fest. Students from different parts of. Kerala participated in the event.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee Structure is feasible. But the issue is there is reduction in the tuition fess for students who entered through merit. And also we have to deposit 1 lakh ,which is an refundable amount. College itself insist to take it as loan,so there might be chances of aborting the loan from the government side

Fees and Financial Aid :

The students are getting different scholarship scheme. No tuition fee for 3 students of each department is one of thier scholarship scheme. Students to this scholarship is selected through enterence mark list. Merit cum means is also applicable.

Campus Life :

Sports is not supported well. But lab sessions are quite good. They will also organise lots of workshops through students chapters like IEEE etc, which helps to improve students pratical knowledge in the lessons they have learnt.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes,they helps the juniors to get a good job. They will recommend for us in their current organization with good mind. And also tells the juniors about the good companies they have worked and good technologies with good scope.

Admission :

I have entered through management seat.In fact students can enter through 3 ways 1. Merit 2. management seat 3. NRI seat. fee Structure for merit and management seat is same. Merit list is decided by government authorities based in ranks. Management is also based on ranks.

Faculty :

Faculties are not of much quality. In fact most of the faculties are afraid of management. They are even afraid to talk friendly to the students. If anything unusual happens, the whole responsibility will move to faculties head and management will stand as they don't know any thing

Placement Experience:

The placement will be available from 6th semester onwards. Companies in techno park are mostly coming for placement in our collage. The average lpa is 2 and highest is like 10. Around 60% are getting placed. My plans is that for the time being if I get a placement i will for it and study extra with that job

The history of placement record is really great in this college. Half of the students or more are getting placed in every year. Campus placements are also done. The faculties will also help us to attend the placement. College will give us maximum support and opportunities.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from semester 6. Many of the largest companies such as Cisco, IBM, Wipro etc come for placements. The largest package was 40 LPA from IT department and average package is 6 LPA. Last year's batch had placement percentage of 90%. My future plans are to try my best for placements, no plans for suture studies as of now.

Placement Experience:

Mostly the students get prepared for placements in the third year. Placement training is usually started in the mid of the third year. According to the passed out students and our seniors, the institution has enough good placements compared to other private institutions. The students get placed in MNCs like IBM, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, SAP, Wipro, CTS, IBS, UST Global, Government and Public Sector companies like BARC, ONGC, Powergrid, Delhi Metro and commercial banks like Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, Core Engineering companies like MRF, Apollo Tyres, Sobha, Procsys, Kalkitech etc speaks volumes about the professional excellence of students.The major activities of the Placement and Training Cell include coordinating the Campus placement activities of the college Conducting regular training for improving the soft-skills and conducting regular tests, GD`s and Mock Interviews. The major thrust area of the placement cell is training programs. Every student undergoes at least 150 hours of training programs which is spread across the years of study. They are trained by the best in the industry. Career guidance and placement orientation is ensured through sessions organised in-house and support from experts from outside. Guidance on how to prepare for various competitive exams like GATE, CAT, MAT, GRE, UPSC, PG entrance examinations etc. are also provided. Despite the economic uncertainties and industry challenges, the Class of 2024 achieved remarkable success in campus recruitment. A total of 78 students secured packages of 7LPA or more, with 484 offers from 76 companies. The highest package reached 15LPA, while the average package stood at a respectable 5.7LPA. Notable recruiters included TCS, CTS, SAP, Tataelxsi, People10, SOTI, UST, and Qburst. Core companies like Cadence, Schneider, Kalkitech, Procsys, Aarbee Structures, RDC, Saint Gobain, Dalmia, Walkaroo OEN, and Tejas Networks also hired students.

There are many programs to improve our placement capabilities. These programs provide spoken English classes and PMKVY Yojana classes. S6 and S7 students have the opportunity to attend placement sessions. The average package that the companies usually provide is 200,000 per annum.
