Remarks :

UVCE is a government college so you cannot expect a good infrastructure like your other colleges. But faculty is very good and placements are the best . So if you can compromise on canteen, infrastructure then UVCE is the best option to do engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Electrical and Electronics is one of the best and toughest branches of Engineering. Students interested in electrical subjects should opt for this branch.Exams are conducted semester wise.Total of 8 exams one per each semester and 2 internal exam per semester. Semester exam is conducted by Bangalore University.

Placement Experience :

Job and placements are best in UVCE. There are 100+ companies which come to campus and recruit students. Most of the companies offer internship as well with good stipend.Each student can avail minimum 2 offer from Campus.

College Events :

There are 4 fests in a year. There are 2 technical fests and 2 other cultural fests. One technical fest is organised by Placement office and the other one by the IEEE which is the technical body of Uvce. Cultural fests are organised by 3rd year and 4th year students.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is feasible. It is a fixed amount by KEA as UVCE is a government college.Fee has to be paid one per year at the start of the year and exam fee of small amount before every semester exams.

Fees and Financial Aid :

Scholarship are provided by UVCE alumini to students every year which they will have to pay back after completion of their studies once they start working. Apart from that there are scholarship provided to SC/ST students and other category students through MHRD.

Campus Life :

Extracurricular activities are part of fests.100+ events are conducted in every fest. We have a intercollege Sport Fest as well. Labs are not that well equipped with latest instruments but is still manageable.

Hostel Facilities :

I had not opted for Hostel. Hostel facilities are not that great. Infrastructure wise and food wise it will be challenging for the students staying in hostel. As the hostel is part of UVCE the hostel fee is very less.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumini network of UVCE is great. We have a alumini group which organises various events to gather alumini around the world.Alumini also provide scholarships to students which can be paid back later after the completion of their studies.

Admission :

Admissions are done through Karnataka CET(Written Exam). Students clearing KCET and securing the cutoff rank for each branch would be eligible for admission. Entire admission process takes place through KEA ONLY.

Faculty :

Good faculty with majority of them with a PHD. Faculty assigned for each subject teach you well.One can reach out to them out of class hours for your doubt clearing sessions as well. Most of them are student friendly.

A Brief Review of My College (New Horizon College of Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering.
