Great College,great experience, One can truly enjoy the campus life. Take part in many activities. The college is well connected and has many industries nearby.All facilities required are available nearby

Course Curriculum Overview :

Btech is a nice course which covers diverse fields of knowledge.It prepares a person for the hard day to day professional life.It gives a lot of experiences ,a most memorable life.There are 8 semester exams with lots of internals and assignments

Placement Experience :

There are many companies coming for campus interviews but most are looking for IT experts.So if you are well versed in computer science then you have ample opportunities.Other branch students have to get knowledge in computer oriented activities.

College Events :

Lots of tech fests happen in the college. Oppurtunities are everywhere.lots of workshops happen.The arts and sports programmes are regularly conducted.The college has teams in almost all sports events and are currently the football champions

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is feasible as it is a government college.Lots of scholarships and fees concessions are there for the needy.The fees for one sem is approximately 8000,which is very small compared to other colleges.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are many scholarships available for students.The main one is egrants for sc/st/oec students. There are other scholarships for students from economically backward families and some special scholarships on basis of job of parents

Campus Life :

Labs are very good.Neat and has all the facilities,the faculty in labs are also very helpful. The college highly encourages in participating in sports and sends it's team in every major competition and has won many of them

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel fees is very less but the hostel facilities are not the best.the hostel lacks in cleanliness and order.But the food is great and all infrastructure are in working condition.The hostel provides every facility for the students

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumini network is helpful.They organise many events,workshops and talks in the college and is also in getting good companies for campus interview.The college has produced many notable alumini the most notable of them being Mr Byju of byju's app

Admission :

I wrote the keam exam,which is the kerala engineering entrance and secured a good rank. I applied for various colleges through the keam admission portal.I had the cut off mark for getting the desired programme in government College of Engineering Kannur.I put the government college of engineering kannur as the first option in keam allotment after applying,I directly got admission there in the first allotment itself.

Faculty :

Great faculty,well experienced and highly commited to their field of work,They are there for all the needs of students.Helps them in every way possible and also encourages in participating in other cocurricular activities.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
