Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is paced to achieve marks and not conceptually grow which should be the priority. Post college academics it will be a tough survival for students to cope up with the growing and evolving platform of Information Technology.

Placement Experience

College doesn't provide any internship. There has been cases of false companies extorting money out of college students during placements. Previously, companies used to come for campus placements but due to the ever falling academic results and also the administration of placement cell, jod opportunities are a myth.

College Events

Annual sports - Inter department athletics tournament. Annual Football tournament - Year wise teams play a knockout tournament for the trophy. Annual cricket tournament - Same as football. Technical fest - as per other colleges, but of very low budget. Cultural fest - more of a annual function and not a fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible for a middle class family with a loan.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure - Poor. Hostel experience - the only thing a student remembers past his/her four years of college life.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Admission

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) (Engineering). The student needs to prepare and sit for the entrance examination post 10+2 exams. He/She needs to achieve a proper rank and apply for E-Counselling. Thereafter his/her desired college gets allocated if the achieved rank suffices the same.

Faculty

In general teachers abide by the books and questions that are important for internal and semester examinations. They are more interested in students securing good marks than grabbing proper concepts for the same. There are good teachers too, students are requested to stick to these lot of good teachers who can help you grow properly.

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

From 7th semester students become eligible for sitting in the campus placements . Companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, IBM,Amazon and many more visits the college and companies like TCS and Wipro take mass recruitment and companies like Amazon offers 2-3 job . Approximately 85 percent of the students gets placed . My plans after getting the degree is to get a Software Developer job

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

Overall in this college you will really enjoy the college life with the good campus good its type curricular activites.
