Remarks :

Positive remark of the college is that the faculty members and study is good. Negative remark is that the placement opportunity is good for management courses but not so good for engineering courses.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Civil engineering is a good course. After completing this course someone can get a job in the field of construction. The course takes four years to be completed. There are eight semesters in these four years. Students have to read 6-8 subjects in each semester.

Placement Experience :

Placement and job opportunity is not so good in the engineering courses. However the placement in management courses like BBA, BCA, BHM, BHMCT is very good. The college administration does not make arrangement for internship, one has to find it by oneself. Instead the college administration make arrangements for a 15 days or 1 month training session.

College Events :

Many events are celebrated in the college throughout the whole year. Some of the important events that are celebrated are : Netaji Jayanti, Republic Day, Saraswati puja, Independence Day, Vishwakarma Puja, Gandhi Jayanti etc. Besides these fresher's welcoming ceremony and cultural festival is also celebrated in a grand manner.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

For the students who are middle to high income group, the fee structure is feasible. But for those who are in the low income group, fee structure is little bit expensive. but the students can apply for loan facility for their study.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

College does not offer any type of scholarship or loan to the students. But the students can apply for loan if they require for any financial institution. They can also apply for the scholarship. If they are eligible they will get it.

Campus Life :

Extracurricular activities are there in the college besides study. Inside the college campus there are Gym, badminton court, tennis courts, basketball courts. Students can play there. Many types of competitions are also held in the college.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility is not available for the day scholars. As a day scholar I did not opt for Hostel facility. But in my opinion, hostel rooms are good to live and clean. Canteen facility is available for the students who opt for Hostel.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni association and netw of the college is good. Many alumnus come to the College on the days of cultural festival. The seniors are very helpful, they always help the juniors in each and every way they can do.

Admission :

I took admission in the college through the rank of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, 2011. My rank in WBJEE was about 18000. I got the option of 5-6 colleges based on my rank. I selected this one.

Faculty :

All the faculty members of the college are good. They are very cooperating in manner. Whenever a student finds difficulty in study they always help him to get rid of the situation. They take proper care of the students.

JGEC is good enough to choose over KGEC.

B.Tech is a great course for technological world and interest.This college mainly focus on the practical knowledge rather than only focusing on bookish things.There is so many opportunities for students who are interested in research. If you have any research project then explanation to the teachers is the only thing which is needed to be elected.
