Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am in 1st sem so i don't have any knowledge about my course teacher as i will me facing them in my 3rd sem , but from the teachers as i have talked they are very good and very sweet and very helpful, they encourage us to ask any kind of help we need

Placement Experience

2

I don't have any plans for the placement as after completing my btech i will be going for the mtech and then phd, college will provide u the opportunities its just up to u how u grab them

Fees and Financial Aid

60k for each semister, total 8 semister with a development fee for 8k one time and a library fee 6k one time , and some hidden charges like registration fees and some activities, and yes 10k for admission From my personal advice, so far as i have seen in my 1st sem , the class are not up to the mark , they dont have agood board or even desk and chairs otherwise all are good

Campus Life

3

Don't expect u will be enjoying ur life in this college , activities like in other colleges are very good but from this college the extra curriculum activities are limited are low, even the don't include any tech fest for btech students

Hostel Facilities

2

Very bad , some of the guards are good and some of the guards are very rude and not offensive, they don't even talk to u in a polite manner and i literally hate the hostel manager, otherwise all are good

Admission

I chose MAKAUT for my B.Sc. in Data Science because of its affordability, reputation, and the opportunities it provides for students in the field of data science. While applying for colleges, I considered factors like course curriculum, faculty, infrastructure, and placement opportunities.

Faculty

4

The facilities are very friendly and good and i am was a CBSE student so i didn't have any knowledge about the marking scheme for MAKAUT examination but as far as i have seen in my 1st sem exam , they give u Mark's on the basis of how much have u written, like for 15 number (inside 3more questions 5 marks each) they want to write us 2 page's of worth of answer to get 5 marks

Night Life

2

I am hostel student and I don't have the permission to go out of hostel after 8:30pm , even i can't even order food after 9pm u have to take the permission to receive the order and they mostly deny even though the gate is Just 50m away from the hostel

Placement Experience:

The senario of placement in all of the private colleges of West Bengal are more or less the same. Majority of the students are placed in Service Based Companies like TCS, Wirpo, Infosys, HCL, Accenture, Cognizent, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. These companies offer anywhere from 3.6 to 6 lpa packages. Only a handful of Product based companies come in these private colleges and cherry pick 2-3 student per college only. This is the reality of all the private colleges, not just our college. If you want to crack a high paying job, you will have to do it off campus. The students are eligible for internships from the 6th semester itself. The college does try to provide internship to students but only a few students end up getting the internships and most students need to find internships on their own. Some companies which came in 24-25 session which offered an internship and PPO are Amazon, SAP Labs, Accenture, etc. For a detailed placement stat, go to our college's website and look for training and placement stats. The college is honest in putting these stats. The stats are mostly reliable. The highest off campus placement in 24-25 session was by Snehadeep De, who secured a SDE role in Amazon with 47 lpa CTC. This was off campus so the college had no role to play here. The highest on campus placement was by two students in the company Juspay. They were offered the SDE role for 27 lpa CTC. The average placement of all the CS branches will be around 5-6 lpa. And approximately around 60-65% of the students get placed. This is the ground reality. And its the same in all of the WB private colleges. If you want to keep a backup option in case you don't want to get a 3.6 lpa job then start preparing for GATE, CAT or Civil Services from your second year. Its always preferred to have a backup option cause you can't trust a private college for providing you jobs.

Placement Experience:

The minimum placement opportunities of our college is good . If you are in good in aptitude, Group discussions and your CV and technical skills are strong then you can easily crack a 7-10lpa job from our college. Overall our college provides decent opportunities for our placements but you need to maintain certain GPA to sit on those placements

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester we are eligible for the internship, also we can apply for both on campus and off campus placements. In our college some companies like Geotech, Infosys, Code Clouds, Unibit solutions visit every year. Average package is in the range of 3.5-5 Lakhs per annum and highest package is nearly 6-7Lpa. But post covid time our placement record decreased a bit. Nearly about 80-85% of CSE students get placed every year. Also I am currently appearing in interview of different companies for placement.
