Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

There are 6 semesters and each semester has 7 papers to be cleared, allowing maximum of 4 backlogs (or as they call it at/kt) to be carried forward to the next year. Exams are conducted in the month of oct-nov (odd semesters) and april-may (even semesters). There are projects work in each semester for Foundation Course(subject in BCom) rather than that its just exams. The main n hard subjects to cope with could be mathematics( sem 1 and sem2) and business law, accounting and management accounting(only for some, i personally did not have problem with any of these but my friends did) and taxation in last year all other subjects are pretty easy to clear.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placements are pretty weak and the connectivity of the college among the companies is rather weak i would say. They are ocassionally average companies but again there is no guarantee you will get selected. packages range from around 10k to 20k monthly again, that amount is not hefty, one can earn almost the same amount in BPO Jobs. The college however is trying to increase their standards and hearing from the alumnus, this year we are having more companies supporting our college.

College Events

3

many events are conducted throught the college it includes dandiya garbha night, prom night, annual day. cultural day talents day. all these are grandly organised and college is beautiful to see during this time bollywood celebs (not very popular) make appearances mainly during annual day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are very expensive and unreasonable. Its almost thrice that of average colleges around Mumbai each year it can cost you upto 20,000 where as the same can cost you around 10,000 per year in case of other colleges

Fees and Financial Aid

i am personally not aware of the loan facility however there is provision in the college to pay the fees in installments or post dated cheques as far as scholarships are concerned, every year end there is felicitation programme conducted in the college awarding the top scorers with cash price( amount varies starting with 3000). There are also honorarium and endowments awarded for excellency in the course.

Admission

the admission process is fairly easy, provided you are aware of the rules. You need to register yourself into the mumbai university portal and once you complete your portal registration, you have to opt from the list of available colleges, which which then be acknowledged to your preferred colleges. The colleges then select you based on their cut off. once you are shortlisted, you can proceed with the normal admission criteria with the college.

Faculty

0.5

Faculties are very amateur and only the newbies in the teaching career join this college to gain experience,. Otherwise nobody cares if you learn anything or not. since i am a CA Student. I did not care much about it since i only needed pass marks. The faculties keep changing in short duration and frequently you can witness lack of knowledge and english speaking skills among the faculties.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very good on paper. University has given like 8 subjects from which we have to choose 5. But this college itself chooses 5 subjects and students now have to learn only them ... Like in 3rd year sem 5 there was subject international finance I wanted to study that because baf course is all about finance but the college had subject management. So yeah be prepared for this. My colleges reputation is not that great because other city students come too. So for about teaching it's average

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is recommended for the students who want to pursue a career in the finance field or if someone who is looking to a course like CFA, this bachelors degree becomes handy. This course teaches you about the financial spectrum of the whole world and gives you an intricate understanding about different financial instruments and their relevance in the society. It teaches one of the most sought after skills in today's world, that is financial literacy. Still I think some of the subjects introduced under the NEP are completely irrelevant such as EVS and IKS. We as college students need to give quality time on some professional subjects, not that these subjects are not important but they need to be emphasised in the early classes. There are three internal exams of 10 marks each and 20 minutes for each paper. The end sem exam is of 30 marks for minor subjects and 60 marks for major subjects. Also I feel that the difficulty level is okay.
