  • The college does not have a campus and there is just a building and no grounds, auditorium, basketball courts or even place to roam around. The college even shares its place with other colleges.
  • It is difficult for the students who are pressuring professional courses to manage their college well due to the compulsory attendance criteria.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This course is recommended for the students who want to pursue a career in the finance field or if someone who is looking to a course like CFA, this bachelors degree becomes handy. This course teaches you about the financial spectrum of the whole world and gives you an intricate understanding about different financial instruments and their relevance in the society. It teaches one of the most sought after skills in today's world, that is financial literacy. Still I think some of the subjects introduced under the NEP are completely irrelevant such as EVS and IKS. We as college students need to give quality time on some professional subjects, not that these subjects are not important but they need to be emphasised in the early classes. There are three internal exams of 10 marks each and 20 minutes for each paper. The end sem exam is of 30 marks for minor subjects and 60 marks for major subjects. Also I feel that the difficulty level is okay.

Internships Opportunities :

Currently I'm in my first year so I won't be able to provide you with a good idea about the internships but I'll still tell you what I've heard. NM college has signed an MOU with Khadi and Industries Commission(KVIC), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises for 2 years with a common interest for student development. The college also has ties with Bombay Industries Association. They also have ties with an NGO called Ekal Yuva which aims to sensitise students about social issues by them do social services. The college also provides placement in big companies such as KPMG, Deloitte, ICICI Bank, etc. While doing internships students are made to carry out research and analysis of the firm they are a part of. While the students can also get on the job training, workshops and industrial training, and also get consultancy by staff. While some students can also get a stipend up to 15000/- per month.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I am Veer Jain and I have taken admission in Narsee Monjee college of commerce and economics, Mumbai and I've gotten admission through the general quota. Our college takes an yearly fees of 55,720/- and and 167,160/- over three years of the course. The fees can increase if someone opts for the fourth year doing Hons in their respective courses. The tuition fee is 38000/-, the caution fee is 150/-, admission fee is 200/-, the development fee is 500/-, the lab fee is 1000/- and the college also charges various other fee such as library fee, magazine fee, NSS fee, etc. which is included in the total yearly fee of 55720/-. This fee structure implies to the general category and can vary with the reservations with which you have gotten admission in the college. BFM, BCom eco, BMS and BAF have the same fee structure, BCom has a fee of 14470/-, BCom eco and analytics has a fee of 105,220/- BMF has a fee of 127220/-.

Campus Life :

The college mainly conducts 4 main fests which include Umang held in August- September, Arthashastra held in October, Insight and Arithmos held in December- January. The college has a well air conditioned library with the access to a large amount of books and you have a nice experience just sitting and reading in the college library. The classrooms have a smart board which provides a great learning experience enabling learners to quickly grasp information and fosters understanding. The college participates in various cultural fest and sports competitions but does not have a auditorium or a ground of its own. It has lack of good infrastructure in Co curricular aspects. The college has a lot of clubs and associations which helps to learn a lot and build a community of like minded people enhancing our social life.

Hostel Facilities :

I live in aster by hive which is just 600 metres away from my college. I have a four sharing room where there is one AC, laundry services, water supply, electricity and 4 time meal included in the package. The yearly fees for my hostel is 480,00/-. The monthly menu for the meals is provided in the start of the month and the quality of the food is good enough in comparison to other hostels. You get milk, fruits and a complete diet in the menu. The hostel is moderately okay in terms of affordability but is pretty safe. You also have to pay a deposit of 100,000/- when you move in. The hostel is on NS road no.5, Juhu, Mumbai. Overall I would recommend this hostel if you are new to the city and want a safe and student friendly accommodation.

Admission :

Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics is one of the finest colleges in Maharashtra and also in India. I had chosen this college due to its excellent academic records and the feedback from many seniors of mine who were the alumni of this college. Also this college has good placement in comparison to other comments in Maharashtra if not india. I had even given IPMAT and NPAT, I could crack IPM but had gotten admission into NMIMS, still I preferred NMCCE as it was more economical and still good enough for a bachelors degree as I also wanted to do CFA alongside Our college trans admission on the basis of 12th percentage. BCom is the flagship course of our college and BMS is the most sort after course in the college. The cut off for this course can go as high as 95%.

Faculty :

The facility-student ratio in the college is around 1:70 on an average and the teachers are really approachable and we can ask them our doubts online on ?WhatsApp. The faculty for my course is really awesome have good amount of knowledge in the field they are. My course I.e BCom financial markets mainly revolves around the financial sector and we have subjects like Indian financial system, Stock Market Operations, Maths, Economics and also some subjects which have been introduced due to the NEP such as EVS, Media and society, etc. There are three internal and one sem end exam in each semester. The difficulty level is moderate as per the first year level and hardly any students fail in the examinations. Overall the course curriculum is really relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The test for graduating understudies generally happens in 6sem for b.com and BMS understudy in the event that you get fall flat in any subject there is KT and brilliant KT is given to the understudy. Which gets proceed with their continuous sems and clear it thereafter. Not all that much hard to finish the test as the school personnel is acceptable so not really hazardous.
