Why is IGNOUs paper checking so poor? Are they just playing with the students' futures?
Yes. The IGNOU marking system is very poor, and you must have a lot of patience if you are pursuing any degree from IGNOU. If you fail to submit your assignment grades, your results will be delayed for several months.
IGNOU is certainly playing with students' careers because they are so unconcerned about their grades and future. They are unconcerned about how and what is written on the answer sheets. They only postpone things and do not address the issue.
When can we expect IIM results?
The initial shortlisting of candidates for IIMs admission has been wrapped in January with the WAT-PI round being held in March and April across various campuses. IIM Ahmedabad was the first IIM to announce the final admission result this year and others are expected to follow. IIM Results are likely to come out by the end of May 2023 and it will be declared through email and the official website of the respective IIM.
Admission to IIMs and the initial shortlisting are done on the basis of CAT for which the cutoff is set beforehand. This usually is in the range of 80-90 percentile.
WAT-PI round was held in March-April for all the IIMs. The IIM shortlists for the WAT-GD-PI round for MBA admission 2023 have been announced. The final admissions are yet to be announced by all IIMs leaving IIM Ahmedabad.

What is the passing marks out of 50 in IGNOU?
IGNOU's evaluation system is also distinct from that of traditional universities. IGNOU has a multi-tiered evaluation system.
1. Exercises in self-assessment within each unit of study.
2. Continuous evaluation primarily through tutor-marked assignments, practical assignments, and seminar/workshop/extended contact programmes.

The evaluation of learners is based on the various instructional activities that they engage in. To complete an academic programme, a learner must write assignment responses before taking term-end exams on a regular basis. A learner must submit TMA responses to the Coordinator of the Study Centre to which he or she is assigned.
A learner should keep duplicate copies of TMA assignment responses that may be required to be produced on demand at the Student Evaluation Division. In June and December, term-end examinations are held at various examination centres throughout the country and abroad.
IGNOU: How long does it take for TEE results to come out?
At IGNOU, results are announced at fixed times for every program. The usual range of time is 1-3 months. IGNOU states the result declaration is 45 days from the end of exams. But most of the time, it's 60-65 days. The maximum time period is 3 months.
Use the link for the IGNOUs result page to keep a track of your result.It is possible that your result has been declared but not updated on the IGNOU website. This is because they update at regular intervals of time. You will have to check the result daily and wait patiently.
IGNOU also has a provision for on-demand results. You can get the results earlier than the official declaration. A certain amount of fee is applicable for the same.
How do I get good marks in IGNOU assignment?
Download previous 3-5 years' question papers from the IGNOU website, depending on your time constraints. Look for answers to these questions in the IGNOU material. It is pointless to recommend guides because the majority of their answers do not adhere to the topic or syllabus.
Make a list of the most important points. Remember to take notes on the keywords. Highlighting these keywords while writing the exam will give the examiner the impression that you have a good understanding of the question.
Depending on the question, try to include some diagrams or maps. It will undoubtedly give you an advantage. Because you have not read the entire material, you may find it difficult to understand at times. In that case, Google the keywords or the context to get a good idea of what the problem is.
Prepare each previous question paper in this manner and revise it at least twice. Examine your assignment question as well.
What happens if a UFM is showing on an AKTU result?
UFM means Unfair Means in AKTU exam results. if UFM shows on your AKTU result, it means you were caught using unfair means (cheating, impersonation, mobile phone, etc.) during the exam.
consequences of UFM at AKTU:
- the paper in which UFM was used is typically cancelled — you get 0 marks or the result is withheld
- you may be debarred from exams for 1-3 years depending on the severity
- a formal inquiry/committee review happens before punishment is finalized
- the UFM case goes to a committee at AKTU that reviews and decides penalty
what to do if UFM is marked:
- contact your college examination cell immediately
- you have the right to present your case before the AKTU UFM committee
- hire a lawyer for serious cases or if debarment seems likely
- represent that it was a genuine mistake if applicable
don't ignore it — respond promptly. check aktu.ac.in for the UFM appeals process and contact the AKTU registrar office.
In how much time does IIM Ahmedabad announce result after interview?
IIM Ahmedabad result announcement timeline after interview:
IIM A's admission process typically:
- Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview: February-March
- Results announcement: usually 2-4 weeks after the interview round concludes for all candidates
- typically by mid-March to early April, results are declared
IIM A does not give individual feedback immediately. results come through the official admission portal. you'll receive an email notification when results are declared. the announcement is for all candidates simultaneously — there's no rolling admission at IIM A.
the exact timeline varies year to year. check iima.ac.in ? admissions ? announcements section for the current year's calendar. the admission committee completes evaluation of all WAT-PI before releasing results — patience is required. if you haven't heard back by April, contact the admissions office directly.
How do I get my old results from Anna University?
You can try visiting the additional controller of examination page, where you can potentially find your results by logging in with your credentials.
If you want to apply using the Anna university form for a duplicate, it will cost money. You must take a DD and send that with your form, and it will arrive at your address in 30 to 35 days. Previous semester results in mark sheet provided by your own institutions.
Do marks really increase in the IGNOU revaluation?
If you are confident that you have written well and deserve more than the marks you have received, then go ahead and request revaluation.
Even if you're not sure, take the plunge. It will not cause you any harm. The best of the two marks, that is, before and after the revaluation, will be considered, so there is no need to worry. You simply need to believe in yourself and go for it if you believe that the grades you received are inadequate and should be increased.
Do marks increase in the re-checking of AKTU?
There’s a rumor that applying for rechecking is just a waste of money and time. But if you are confident, that you have done well in your paper and deserve a better score, you should opt for AKTU revaluation. Your marks can increase after rechecking of AKTU. Many of my friends and seniors opted for rechecking and got their marks revaluated.
