Studied B.Tech in Computer Science at NIET (2020)

I studied at NIET, and my close friend chose GL Bajaj. So I know the ground reality of both these colleges.

In terms of placements and academics, both are the same. However, GL Bajaj has quite strict rules. It follows a dress code and is way more strict regarding attendance. Even if you are 5 minutes late, the main entrance won’t be opened for you. Ultimately, you’ll end up waiting outside for an hour or so. Also, you won’t be able to take leaves without prior permission from concerned authorities.

NIET does not have such strict rules and regulations. It offers a much more free environment.

So if you want more freedom, GL Bajaj is the right college. For placements and studies, both are at par with one another.

Studied at Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET)

GL Bajaj will be a better option. It offers better placements. GL Bajaj placements have been pretty good over the last few years. During the 2021 placement drive, students received the highest CTC of 31.6 LPA. Around 372 companies took part in the campus drive. Go through the amazing campus tour below

Additionally, the institute conducts soft skill training, and various workshops to prepare students for the placement drive.

B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (2017)

As you may have realized that the question is missing a specific detail i.e. the branch name. These colleges are under AKTU, so there's no big difference and both are quite popular in Greater Noida as well. However, my brother studies there and here's what you may want to know-

  • If you are from Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering branches then the college doesn't matter. Due to the dearth of core companies during placement drives.
  • If you are into CSE, IT, ECE, or Biotechnology, then GL BAJAJ would suit you better than NIET
  • GL BAJAJ used to have a better placement rate earlier, but in 2020, it had a placement rate of 89% than NIET's 90%-95%.
  • GL Bajaj saw names like Wipro, Deloitte, Amazon, etc come for placement drives.

Categories

NIET

GL Bajaj

Course Fee

2.51-6.09 lakh

2.2 lakh

Highest CTC

27 LPA

11 LPA

Average CTC

3-6 LPA

4.49 LPA

Recruiting Companies

IBM, TCS, Infosys, Oracle, etc.

TCS, Cisco, Ambuja, Virtusa, etc.

But the disadvantage of GL Bajaj is that once you get an offer, you won't be allowed to sit for any other placement drive of any other company. NIET is much better in this regard. They allow students to avail themselves opportunities with other companies too. NIET also has a Microsoft innovation center, which is excellent support for those interested in CS or IT and it has a cheaper tuition and hostel fee as well.
