What would be a comparison between CSE at IIIT Delhi and IIIT Bangalore?
Based on my research, I will present some points to support the opinion that I will put by the end of my answer-
- Faculty- The faculty of IIIT Delhi is considered to be one of the best in India. The college offers top-quality classroom teaching. But even IIITB has good professors.
- Curriculum- IIITD offers the most relevant and flexible curriculum for B.Tech CSE. They will teach you core CS from the first year itself. Even IIITB teaches core CS from the first year, but it started with iM.Tech quite recently, in 2017. IIITB doesn’t offer B.Tech courses.
- Funding and perks- As IIIT Delhi is a state government-run institute, it gets funding and other perks.
- Infrastructure and Internet facilities- Being a new institute, IIIT Delhi has better infrastructure and Internet facilities.
IIIT Bangalore is a better choice for an M.Tech CS, based on curriculum, placements, etc. But as far as UG studies are concerned, B.Tech CS at IIIT Delhi is better than iM.Tech CS at IIIT Bangalore.

- Explaining the above-given points further, IIIT Bangalore has no reservations and hence the crowd of students is relatively better.
- IIIT Delhi is required to follow the reservation system which means that they cannot select students for admissions solely based on scores obtained in JEE Mains.
Placements:
- At IIITB, there have been nearly 10 foreign paid internships from a batch of 50 at places like MIT USA, Germany, and Australia.
- The iMtech batch at IIITB is relatively new and hence IIITD has an advantage.
- According to recent placement statistics, the highest CTC for MTech at IIITD and IIITB are 25 LPA and 21 LPA, respectively.
Extracurriculars:
IIIT Delhi has been known to organize more college fests, activities, and competitions.
Start-up:
IIIT Bangalore has a well-designed and fully dedicated website for start-ups along with an incubation center within the campus area.
Fees:
The cumulative fees for both the institutions are nearly the same whereas the hostel and mess facilities are decent in both too.
Location:
While both the institutions have great infrastructure, it needs to be considered that the location of IIIT Bangalore is situated in the middle of silicon valley with head offices of many top companies which makes for an added advantage to students and helps them understand real-life working conditions better.
