I would any day choose NIRMA over PDPU for Civil Engineering because

  • NIRMA was awarded an "A" grade from NAAC Committee
  • Excellent infrastructure and academic environment
  • The quality of peer groups is better than PDPU
  • The curriculum is well structured and balanced to suit industry needs
  • Equal importance is given to academics and extracurricular activities that are promoted through student-driven clubs.
  • NIRMA is situated at a better location and thus has better transportation facilities.
  • Various academic and cultural activities keep campus life lively and dynamic
  • The professors are highly learned and provide ample opportunities for research, projects, and publications.
  • Excellent placement scenario with the average package this year at INR 10.50 LPA and the highest at INR 26 LPA.

Irrespective of the Institute you choose, it’s your capability to make the most out of the program and determine what makes you successful and not the institute.

B.Tech from Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar

Gujarat based both Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) is a well-reputed private University settled in Gandhinagar securing a NIRF rank of 177. On the other hand, NIRMA University is also another NAAC 'A' graded college in Ahmedabad, ranked 131 by NIRF.

The table given below gives a brief overview of both universities:

Particulars

  • The University has several sections of engineering laboratories that are well provided to promote the academic and research process.
  • PDPU has furnished Language Labs and air-conditioned Computer-based laboratories to conduct laboratory sessions.

Both colleges have a well-maintained campus life and good college facilities. In terms of activities, PDPU students have more exposure, participate in many student activities, and gain more opportunities whereas NIRMA follows its traditional system. But the fees of PDPU on the other side is higher than NIRMA, due to its A-Class facilities. Now, the ultimate decision lies in your hand.
