One of my friends was fortunate enough to appear for the FMS Delhi interview and shared her experience of the same.

Her profile looked like this

  • Class 10:89.33% ICSE
  • Class 12:89.33% ISC
  • Graduation: 9 CGPA with Honors in Sociology
  • CAT - 99.60

Her interview was conducted offline and she had to reach the campus early. After the documents verification procedure, she was escorted to a room with 2 female panelists, one of which asked her to introduce herself.

  • She was assigned an extempore topic “City of Chaos” for which she had 15 secs to prepare and 1 minute to speak.
  • Seeing that my friend was a basketball player, she was asked ‘Is there an NBA in India?’
  • What is India’s ranking in world basketball?
  • What have you been doing since 2021?
  • She was asked about here ambition in life
  • She was asked if she had any dream organization which she was eager to join and related questions.
  • She was asked about her other calls
  • Lastly, they enquired about her reading habits and the message those books gave her.

Luckily, she was waitlisted in 81 and converted to the 2nd Waitlist.

One of my friends appeared in the FMS interview this year and converted the call. The interview was offline and on the FMS campus. There were two panelists.

The interview started with an introduction. Next, he was given an extempore topic - Novelty. Following the extempore, there were a few questions based on his IT background  and his SOP. There were general questions like - ‘Why MBA? As there are many CXOs who aren’t MBAs.’ The interview was around 15 mins. Overall, it was a pleasant experience for him.
