Admission to NITIE includes 2 steps, getting shortlisted for GDPI based on the GATE score and then clearing the GDPI. The GATE score cut-off lies in the range of 650–700 depending upon the no. of applications. Getting PGDIE/PGDMM/PGDPM as your branch of post-graduation depends upon your profile.

The cutoff is the minimum GATE 2023 score on the basis of which candidates are shortlisted for the selection process. However, shortlisting does not guarantee admission. The final selection is based on the performance of the candidates in the group discussion and personal interview as well as past academic performance.

You can get an idea of the NITIE GATE Cutoff 2023 based on last year's cutoff.

PGDPM from National Institute of Industrial Engineering (2019)

One of my friends studied at NITIE Mumbai, so I might be able to help you with your question. Here are some facts that I gathered from him about the process.

  • To get a call for the GD and PI, you must first clear the cut-off.
  • The cut-off is determined by the GATE score rather than the marks. Depending on the number of applications, the score ranges between 700-720.
  • After receiving the call, you must pass the GD and PI rounds in order to be admitted to the college.
  • Getting PGDIE/PGDMM/PGDPM as your postgraduate course is determined by your profile.

The number of applications received by the institute determines the cutoff for each course. It is, however, based on the GATE score rather than the rank. This is due to the fact that it is an interdisciplinary course, which means that any engineering student can apply for it. GATE score is used instead of GATE rank to ensure that they are on the same platform.

The trend of increasing cutoffs can be seen as the number of applicants increases year after year. As a result, I recommend that you aim for an 800+ GATE score to be on the safe side.nitie
