Should I prefer MAIT or VIT Vellore for an IT branch?

I am a student of B.Tech IT at VIT Vellore. According to me, VIT Vellore is a better option for IT as compared to MAIT because of the following reasons-

VIT Vellore offers top class infrastructure and opportunities for its students. The campus is visited by top recruiting companies each year because of which IT placements are quite good for VIT. These companies offer good packages to students during placements. The college offers ample exposure to IT students in the form of internship offers, training offers, and student exchange programs. The IT companies that visit VIT Vellore for placements are- TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Cognizant, among others.

Thus, I would recommend you join VIT Vellore for B.Tech IT instead of MAIT.

Program and Curriculum: Examine the curriculum, course offers, and potential specializations for the IT programs provided by the two institutions. Select the program that most closely matches your academic and professional interests.
Ranking and accreditation: According to the NIRF report 2023 VIT Vellore has ranked 17th in the overall category, whereas MAIT Delhi secured 81st position.VIT is a NAAC-accredited college (Grade A++) as well as approved by UGC and AICTE.On the other hand, MAIT is an AICTE-approved college.
Placement records and industry exposure: Here comes the most important aspect. The table below describes the placement history of both colleges.

So, VIT would come first if you wish to study hard for your graduation subjects to land a decent job and have a good campus, better ranking, good placement history, and good infrastructure. Go for MAIT if you want to pursue postgraduate studies on an affordable budget right after graduation, want to attempt startups, or just want to join an IT company on an average payroll.

Choosing one between VIT Vellore and MAIT depends mainly on your financial background and willingness to move to a different part of India to study.

In my opinion, choosing VIT would be better if you are getting the same branches because it offers a much better campus life than MAIT. It gives enough importance to extracurriculars which MAIT does not. The placement scenario is somewhat similar with VIT Vellore giving an edge to MAIT.

A cousin of mine used to be a student of VIT Vellore. He says that if you go with the data of the last decade, the placement records of VIT Vellore have been excellent.

The faculty of the IT department of VIT Vellore is top-notch and the teaching is of high quality. The IT department of VIT Vellore has been highly sought after. A big number of big IT names visit the campus throughout the year to offer jobs.

VIT Vellore is a brand in itself even though it is a Deemed University. The placements in CSE are also very good in the institute. The B.Tech program is ABET-accredited which is an international accreditation.

Some of the major companies that come to VIT are Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, CISCO, Flipkart, etc. VIT also makes it possible for the students to choose the subjects which align with their interests and even their teachers.
