Should I go for B.Tech Civil Engineering in LPU or BE Computer Science and Engineering in Chitkara University (Chandigarh)?

Chandigarh University is the better choice among these options! The faculty is highly qualified and approachable. The teaching methods are excellent. Many students have had positive experiences there. So, I decided to take admission in CU!

If you're leaning towards a stable government job with good prospects, LPU might be the better choice; however, if you're passionate about tech and coding, Chitkara could open doors in the booming IT sector. Overall, if you want higher immediate job prospects, I'd recommend LPU.

Definitely CHANDIGARH UNIVERSITY! It's a great choice for your career based on personal experience. Graduated in Civil Engineering from Chandigarh University and was the branch topper of the civil engineering batch (2013–2017), admired and respected for my achievements. Here’s what I found:

• Site Visits: Regular site visits to construction sites, dams, sewage plants, etc., provide hands-on learning of civil engineering practices and emerging technologies that can't be taught in theory.
• Infrastructure: The civil engineering department boasts modern equipment and advanced laboratories, facilitating practical work alongside theory courses.
• Software Training: Career-oriented software training is available in the labs. Familiarity with software like STAAD PRO, MS Project, GIS software, etc., is essential for this profession. Training starts with AutoCAD in the first year.
• Curriculum: The curriculum is designed to meet the ever-changing demands of the industry.

Overall, it’s a solid choice for anyone considering a future in civil engineering!

Chandigarh University is recognized as one of the top institutes for civil engineering. The department is fully committed to enhancing students' interpersonal and communication skills. The combination of elective and open elective courses makes the curriculum stand out. Additionally, the well-equipped infrastructure, real-time exposure, and industry-collaborated laboratories give it a competitive advantage.

You will rarely find industry-oriented subjects included in the curriculum elsewhere. It’s a fantastic learning experience to engage with industry professionals, attend their sessions, and visit manufacturing plants. Moreover, students are introduced to the modern software used by civil engineers in the field.

There is also a dedicated cell for entrepreneurship development. If anyone is interested in starting a business and pursuing entrepreneurship, this provides the right platform and exposure!
