How many holidays are there in the IIT Guwahati academic calendar 2024?

As per the official IIT Guwahati holiday list, there are a total of 19 holidays in the academic calendar of 2024. The list includes national holidays like Independence Day and Republic Day. Cultural festivals like Diwali, Eid and Christmas are also observed. Off is also given at regional festivals like Magh Bihu and Bohag Bihu. 

These holidays provide students and faculties with breaks throughout the year. Every year, the holiday list is issued with the approval of the IIT Guwahati director. 

Along with academics, IIT Guwahati also emphasises giving students the required time off through holidays, recognising the importance of personal well-being and cultural observances.
