BITS Hyderabad is definitely better than VIT Vellore for CS. Here are some reasons for the same-
Coding Culture- Even VIT Vellore has a decent coding culture. But when it comes to any of the BITS campuses, the coding culture over there is far more superior. The environment at BITS is such that one feels extremely motivated to learn and build new stuff. The BITS faculties are highly qualified and supportive.
Crowd- Getting into BITS is difficult, and there are no NRI or Management quota seats. Each one of the students gets in through pure merit. Because of these reasons the BITS Hyderabad crowd is overall better than the VIT Vellore crowd.
Placements- The Computer Science department of BITS Hyderabad witnesses better placements than VIT Vellore. But even VIT Vellore is good for CS placements.
Course Intake- VIT Vellore intakes a lot more students on a yearly basis. Though the competition is much higher at BITS Hyderabad, the end results are more fulfilling for each one of its students.
Thus, I would recommend you choose BITS Hyderabad for your B.E. in CS.
