However, if you go for Electrical/Civil Engineering at NIT Kurukshetra, then you can change your branch at the end of the first year depending upon your CGPA in the first year. In NIT Kurukshetra even the IT companies offer better packages than YMCA. If you are not able to change your branch you can get placed in PSUs.
