There is a quota for Delhi students at DU. In a recently concluded hearing, the Delhi High Court stated that a Delhi student who graduates from an NCR school will not be eligible for the Delhi Quota for college admissions. In all Delhi University colleges, 85 percent of the seats are reserved for Delhi residents, while 15 percent are reserved for candidates from outside the city.

Studying at Delhi University has numerous perks and you will have the best time here. Following are a few reasons why you should choose Delhi University:
With so many feathers on its cap, Delhi University is definitely a great place to study and completely satisfies its desirability.
Delhi University is a better option. It is a central university, while MU is a state university. DU receives humongous funding from the central government. Naturally, it stands much higher than any state university including MU. It offers better education, infrastructure, and research opportunities.
DU has hardly 100 affiliated colleges. So, it’s easier for the administration to make sure the education process is smooth. MU has over 1100 colleges. Handling so many colleges, hampers the fundamentals of education, at times.
Overall, DU is more organized and offers better education and learning opportunities.
It would be an excellent choice. It became an independent morning college in 2013, and its growth has been phenomenal since then. Ramanujan College has it all: amazing campus life and a fantastic learning environment. NAAC has awarded it a Grade A++ and a GPA of 3.71. According to the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2021, it is also ranked 53rd in the college category, with an overall score of 54.68.
Here are some distinguishing characteristics that set Ramanujan apart from the crowd:
Excellent Location: The college is in a prime location in Kalkaji, close to Epicuria, McD, Pizza Hut, Dominoes, and other restaurants. You will never run out of places to party.
Societies: This section is the college's true treasure. JAZBA, NSS, DNA, Shivranjani, Tark, TATVA, and other societies have always made the college proud.
Experienced Faculty: Friendly and cooperative.
Infrastructure: The building's infrastructure distinguishes it from all other DU colleges. The college has the best infrastructure in DU, with all modern amenities.
Crowd: It's almost a nurturing environment, with seniors eager to assist and juniors willing to collaborate. The college environment is always pumped up with some event, campaign, rally, or other activity that inspires students.
Go ahead and enroll in Ramanujan College if you're interested in that now. You will never be regretful of your choice. You'll be presented with numerous opportunities here; all you have to do is seize them wisely. Ramanujan, as the name implies, has an excellent academic record, but the authorities are extremely strict. You must have a certain percentage of attendance in order to take the semester exam.
As explained by a B.Sc(Hons) Computer Science graduate from DU, there are the following scopes after the course:
B.Sc (Hons.) in Computer Science has a much broader scope. The field of science and technology is ever-expanding, and the scopes it has to offer are based on research and development principles. When it comes to pursuing a degree such as Computer Science, graduates have numerous options. They may conduct field research or pursue careers in more financially lucrative fields. For BSc graduates, there are numerous job opportunities available.
The colleges that will offer Bachelors with honors courses in management studies have finally been identified by Delhi University.
The course is offered by six colleges in total: Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, College of Vocational Studies, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Maharaja Agrasen College, Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College.
The new course was implemented following the discontinuation of the BBE, BBS, and BFIF courses. These courses were extremely popular, and nearly all of the students were placed. There were 891 seats available across all three courses. The introduction of the BMS course has reduced the number by 51, which has enraged many applicants.
Keshav Mahavidyalaya is an off-campus college that is one of Delhi University's youngest and fastest growing, it has also provided exceptional placements for BMS.
Top companies such as AT Kearney, S&P CapIQ, CEB, SmartCube, McKinsey Knowledge Center, Google, Grail Research, and others have recruited students from the college in recent years. The Department of Management Studies has a strong alumni network that provides students with numerous opportunities. Thus, well-deserving BMS students from KMV can easily get campus placement, and the average package is around 4.5-5 Lakhs, with the highest offered in the previous year being 9.5 Lakhs.BA and BA Honors are both excellent choices for UPSC CSE. It will aid you in your preparation for the Prelims and Main exams.
In BA course, you must study three different subjects, such as political science, history, and geography, which means that 50% of the syllabus has already been covered, and if you choose Political Science as an optional subject, another 40% has already been covered. So taking a BA course will improve your chances.
Now, moving on to the BA (Hons), you will study political science in depth, which will help you in the Mains because, as we all know, the difficulty level of optional is higher than the Bachelor level but lower than the Master's level, so it will benefit you greatly. However, because you will only be studying two subjects in your bachelor's programme, you will have to study the third subject on your own.
Thus, you should pursue a BA General course. However, as everyone knows, UPSC is all about extreme hard work, luck, proper planning, guidance, and several other factors. Make your own decision and put in your best effort.
